Disliked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
The photos do not accurately represent the property. The large bedroom is in a basement that smells moldy in a bedroom with a second bed in the same room. Several of the towels were not clean. Other hosts email prior to check in with instructions. Not this one. We had to call when check in time was approaching and only then were we offered instructions. There were no instructions inside for working appliances at all. There were fingerprints all over the glass sliding door, no curtains or blinds on the glass sliding doors and while the washing machine at first seemed like it was going to work, it stopped after about 30 seconds and would not start at all after that. There were no only “curtains” over very very old blinds on the windows were on the main level and seemed to be inexpensive shower curtains that were too small. With sun flowing in and neighbors starting work in their roof at 7 am there was little to no chance of rest. Additionally , the bathroom doors do not close properly and you have to use a locking chain to keep them “closed”! This was beyond disappointing and I feel we were very overcharged for this aging home. It has potential but the owners should consider doing an honest assessment and asking whether they would be happy paying the price they charge if they were a guest at this property. Very disappointed. We should be at least partially refunded.
