"The front staff was as nice as they could be during check-in, considering the guy in front of us was being pretty difficult. I did feel a little blindsided by the $20 fee I had to pay at check in, even though I paid in full for the room a week in advance. The room itself was very clean and cozy. The air conditioning wasn't the best. I stay pretty hot when I sleep, and had a difficult time getting comfortable. The bathroom was also very tight. You kinda had to straddle the toilet to close the door if you wanted privacy. The breakfast wasn't very good, especially considering the price of the room. There was no meat option. Just eggs, gravy, and dry biscuits. Everything in the hot box tasted unusually salty, and the gravy was slimy. The juice options were fine. Waffles looked ok, but I didn't have one. There seemed to be a good selection of tea and coffee. Parking was easy to find and check-out was simple.I haven't seen any more surprises on my bank statement. 3/5 Stars, probably won't choose this name to stay at again, but I've been in much worse rooms."

"The Hampton Inn Lincolnton is a very well-managed hotel that’s clean, with large guest rooms and an exceptionally friendly staff. Tracey was able to coordinate with housekeeping for an early check in, and Kristin was able to coordinate for a late check out with no problems. Both were super helpful and friendly, as were all the staff I met! The breakfast buffet is substantially better than most hotels in this price range, and the coffee was always hot and delicious. The room was large and everything worked. I especially appreciated having actual bar soap, an in-room microwave and refrigerator, and the amazingly comfortable bed. For the price paid, this was a bargain, and I recommend it without reservation!"

"I have stayed at many hotels and this Hampton Inn is one of the nicest ones that I have stayed in. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My room was amazing. The only issues I found were that the ice machine on my floor wasn’t working. This is the first hotel I have been in that had fresh baked cookies with fruit infused ice water daily in the lobby. The breakfast was the normal, but the area was very clean and restocked as needed. I would recommend this hotel to everyone."

"You could that Noone deep cleaned the room. BUT,the room had clean beds,hot showers and cold ac. They say online that they have a continental breakfast and coffee pots in the rooms. No coffee pot. The owners said no coffee or sugar in rooms. As for the continental breakfast, It's a pot of coffee,and a few muffins. The parking lot is a disaster. Uneven surfaces where they filled in the old pool,I'm guessing,and higher than normal parking barriers. I tripped over one the first day and fell onto my knees in the parking lot. Leaving me with a knee injury that had me limping the whole trip and still with issues even after getting home. The reason we stayed was because it was affordable. The staff was very nice. The room was comfortable and safe. So,far from perfect,but still we would stay there again."
