"Quirky building hidden amongst others. Beautiful old staircase and lovely open air terrace, which was wonderful to sit in the sun with a beer. Nice clean room. Downside was having to use WhatsApp as a key to get into the building and the room. Clever but as traveling we didn't have WiFi or mobile data and so was forced to use our mobiles abroad and at a cost. Would have preferred a key. "Wknd breakfasts start late: 8;30 and I am already out the door. AND rooms don't have coffee or tea setups but do have kitchens? Pool and fitness center also had limited hours. Wanted to do an AM swim but it opened AFTER breakfast? Location was good and thankfully there is a grocery next door."

"We stayed as a family of four. There were building works ongoing, which we did not know about before, but were informed of immediately when we checked in. The dining room and bar were not available but the hotel did offer a breakfast bag option as an alternative. The room itself was very clean and the beds were very comfortable and there was aircon and a fan provided which was good. The bathroom was also very clean and well equipped. The location is great, a 10 minute walk into the centre of Tour and we managed to park on the street outside the hotel for free. We booked through Hotels.com and the booking said we got a free drink on arrival, we were not offered that but I assume that is because of the maintenance works."

"We received a friendly welcome from the staff on arrival at City Résidence Tours. The room was clean and well kept. There was working air-conditioning, which we were grateful for as there was a heatwave during our stay. The air-conditioning occassionally made odd noises, but continued to work well for the period of our stay. The cooking area was clean and well enough equipped for our stay, but was compact. There were two local mini-markets that served our needs for supplies well during our stay. City Résidence Tours is very convenient for Tours railway station, and we also found it was walkable, about 25 minutes, from Saint-Pierre-des-Corps railway station. The historic centre of Tours and the Loire are walkable from City Résidence Tours. We took breakfast at City Résidence Tours, once, our final day, before taking the nexy leg of our journey. The breakfast room was clean and tidy with a good range of breakfast foods."

"The nearby public underground car park is convenient but the lift is filthy and quite disgusting . The breakfast was good and varied but the area was not kept clean and tidy during the breakfast hours. Of several news channels on the television the o ly English speaking g one available was Al Jezera6"

"Parking was easy as the hotel had sent a map - it was underground & free as I booked with Hotels.com. Reception was a lovely lady with excellent English. Our room was spacious and had air conditioning which was wonderful as it was 38c outside! It was very quiet. Breakfast was wonderful such a choice with fresh bread cheeses fruit eggs cereal croissants everything and it was constantly refreshed. Would definitely stay again as good distance from the port"
