Tour du Mont Blanc Trips (flight + hotel)

I wanted to like Hotel Edison because of its location, but the overall experience was disappointing. We paid for early check-in yet waited nearly six hours for a room, finally getting one around 2:30 p.m.—just 30 minutes before the standard check-in time. Despite already providing my ID, I was asked for it again after it had been packed away with our checked luggage. After traveling all night, my elderly mother needed a place to rest, but we were denied access to the waiting area because we didn't have a room key. My child was also denied use of the restroom for the same reason. A little compassion would have gone a long way. The room was basic and had several issues: no shower curtain, a non-working TV, and a leaking A/C unit that left the carpet soaked. There was also visible mold and rot around the unit. The positives were the excellent location, friendly bell staff, elevator attendants, and outstanding housekeeping. Be aware that breakfast is only grab-and-go items, construction starts early, and airport transportation after midnight is a nearly $200 private car. I'd gladly stay in this area again, but I won't be staying at Hotel Edison.
