"Séjour de 3 nuits chambre Augustine : Contact avec l'hôte par sms/mail donc explication minimaliste [clé de la chambre dans boite à clé type AirBnb],. , aucun état des lieux Arrivée/Départ alors que Caution de 400€ !!! "First of all, Expedia was useless, we had an issue on check-in because I received a late notification of the required deposit and the helpline was automated. On the other hand, the receptionist from the hotel managed to solve my issue, but the APP should be clearer with the information. The hotel is very well located, 24hours reception and you can order food anytime. Only the cleaning could be better, from the day I checked in, the bathroom didn't look clean and always smell coming from the pipes. Plus, banging doors, so a bit noisy. The customer service was priceless, so that made it worth it!"

"Our friends who drive us there couldn’t find anything but a parking garage with the GPS & their van couldn’t drive down into it so we gave up & got an Uber. Our Uber driver left us down at the parking garage level street, dropped us off & showed us a big flight of outdoor stairs to haul our suitcases up to where the main floor of the hotel apparently was. At the top we found the lovely hotel and a friendly person at the desk & checked in. The next day we were walking around on the actual hotel upper street level & found outdoor escalators that could take you to the lower street level (or up to the hotel street level.) If this sounds confusing it was and the front desk person said he understood & that only taxis pick up & deliver on the upper level that the hotel is actually on, not Ubers. Aside from that the included breakfast was good! The place was clean & we were glad we finally found it."

"It looks like that hotel has been around for a while and got bought up by Best Western because it doesn’t have the standardized vibe you’d expect (can be good or bad depending on what you’re looking for). The sign at the entrance says 4 stars, but it isn’t a 4 star. It’s a 3. Having said that, it’s very good value for the price. We had a seaside room with a big terrace and colourful bougainvillae. Clean room and welcoming common areas, really friendly staff who went out of their way to be of service. Good pizza place right around the corner and nice boardwalk a short walk away. Longer walk to city center and train station but there are buses and even a free tourist train. We enjoyed our stay."

"The breakfast was comprehensive and included hot items. I purchased it for the three nights I stayed for 15 Euro each day. I paid up front and in hindsight I wish I’d paid by the day. Toulon has some wonderful bakeries open for breakfast, and they aren’t far of a walk from the hotel. I selected the hotel for its location which turned out to be great! The train station and port were short walks away. The staff were welcoming and friendly and spoke English well. I don’t think my room had air conditioning as I tried to get that working on the wall unit but could not. It didn’t matter as I didn’t need it anyway. I was there in early April with very pleasant temperatures. My window also opened to allow a fresh breeze to blow in. Overall I liked the hotel and would book there again! C’est tres bien! "
