The longest night ever!

The size of the single room was too small with a very tiny bathroom and many rules to follow.e.g. any damage costs you £300.00! The breakfast was below average. Overall, it is overrated on this website.

Trevligt men litet & varmt vid bad.

Rita & Barry som driver detta ställe är verkligen välkomnande och god frukost bjuder dom på. Undvik att boka rum på topfloor ( högst upp ) här är snedtak & bjälkar & sjukligt varmt rum. Rummen här uppe är väldigt små så du får nästan gå i din resväska för att komma runt sängen, om jag bor här igen så bokar jag rum lägre ner. Bussen i till Torquay nr 120 & 22 går precis utanför dörren & kostar 5 pund för en heldag vilket rekommenderas skarpt,vill du bada så är det nära ta bara rälsbanan ner till havet och det kostar ett par pund då detta B & B ligger högst upp. Utsökt frukost ! Vi var dom fösta svenskar han hade haft som gäster här och det tyckt dom var trevligt.

Best hospitality

My stay was very comfort and relaxing. Really lovely couple, friendly and helpful. Room was very nice, very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, teasty and fresh. It’s in good location close to babbacombe beach. Best hospitality, very welcoming and overall I am very satisfied.

Lovely stay

Lovely stay very welcoming food great shower a bit small but aren't all guest houses or most ... sat nav tells you, you are at the laurels but guest house is on opposite side of road

Nice hotel close to the beach

I stayed one night at this guest house. Host Danny was very chatty and friendly. He was very accommodating to my request for an early breakfast. Clean room. Tasty breakfast. Good value.

Lovely Guest House just round the corner from sea

Danny and Rita were very friendly and the Guest House was very clean and our room was nice and comfortable. a good position minutes from Babbacombe Downs and the beach. The breakfasts were very good.

Lovely B&B

We actually booked this hotel accidently but by the time we left we were glad we did, lovely room and lovely owners, unfortunately we missed out on the breakfast due to sleeping in our fault, will be back!

babbacombe nightmare

We got there a 1 30, it was raining, tired from journey, no 1 was there at lodge, had to find cafe till 4, that was when we could check in, then greeted by can you make full payment now, it was the worst 3 night's , so unprofessional

unfriendly at arrival

I booked and paid a double room for the night 5 days before. When I arrived before 9 pm on the night The door was looked and the owner came down in dressing gown to tell me that I had come too late and the room was let out to someone else. I said " but I've paid " he didn't care and just said we are closed and no room available!!! He did never offer to pay the money back or advised where I could go instead. As we weren't local we felt very left out and on the street. Very careless and unprofessional owner of this guesthouse. Never in my life experienced something like this. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!!

Lovely B&B

We had a lovely stay here, the room was comfortable and clean, we couldn't ask for more. The breakfasts were delicious and set us all up for the day ahead. The owners were absolutely lovely, really hospitable, welcoming and friendly. Our children got on great with them too. Also a great location, peaceful and close to the beach and local places to eat, drink and explore.

Smashing place and lovely hosts

A lovely couple, still learning their trade and doing a stunning job. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was of a very high standard and certainly past the sausage test. We will be regular visitors.

A diamond in the rough!

Absolutely wonderful hosts Rita & Danny met us at the door. Very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. A friend and I stayed in a twin room, which was exceptionally clean and comfy. Complete with dressing gown and disposable slippers. (nice touch) The beds were very comfy and all added extras were included, eg tea and shower essentials. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection of cereals, yoghurt and fruit and your choice of cooked foods. Really have nothing but nice things to say about this guest house. From what I could see of the seafront, this had to be the best value for money vs comfort and hosting. Thank you :)

This is a gem of a place

Finding Babbacombe Guest House is like winning the Premium Bonds it's the Jewel in the Crown of guest houses in Babbacombe. The rooms are fresh and clean with all facilities that a hotel would offer. A very comfortable bed fresh bedding and wonderful soft pillows. Super shower with endless supply of hot water make the en suite a pleasure to use. Tea and hot drinks tray are well stocked and replenished daily with excellent choice. Rita and Danny the owners are truly committed to make your stay one to remember and nothing is to much trouble For them. The breakfast menu is filled with choices to cater for all appetites and are cooked and presented superbly. Free car parking, free WiFi, TESCO Extra a few doors away And Rita and Danny are willing to make you up packed lunches for a moderate cost make this guest house the gem that it is. St Marychurch with its gift shops, cafes and the Model Village just a walk away as is Babbacombe Downs and the Cliff Railway and beautiful beaches of Oddicombe and Babbacombe all within easy reach, not forgetting the famouse Babbacombe Theatre with great shows all summer or the numerous coastal walks and parkland with marine drives there is something for all ages. We will be back that's for sure.

Guest house lovely, Danny and Rita very welcoming. Breakfast excellent, rooms very clean. In a really good location within walking distance to the beach, shops, theatre and plenty of places to eat out. All in all a good place to stay

Wonderful place to stay

The guest house was spotless, and beautifully decorated and comfortable, just 2 minutes walk away from the seafront. The owners were really friendly without being overbearing, and their breakfasts are really tasty. Thoroughly recommend this guest house. Will definitely stay there again.

Area was very quiet.not sure if it was due to the Time of the year. Guest house was clean and tidy. A little disappointed that the room/bathroom was not cleaned every day. Also complimentary biscuits and toiletries were not replenished on the second day. Towels were also not changed. There seemed to be quite abit of door banging through the night. Apartfrom these things our stay and accommodation was good and we would return. Thanks

Very ,very clean ,tastefully decorated and well set up guest house .The only down side for us was that we chose to stay in the attic room.The problem being the height of the ceiling,very low in places,and meant we were walking around the room bent over for fear of banging our heads on the beams,which I did on getting out of bed.Awkward shaped room. Also quite a bit of traffic noise through the night.
