Paid for early checkin, didn't happen, couldn't park the vehicle until checkin. Poorly managed, had a make-shift wall for the “second bedroom” signs saying short term guest cant use amenities.

AC not working. Old apartment - not at all like in the pictures. Key didn't work properly. No Communication - contacted number provided for assistance and emailed - neither option responded. Unsafe because we had to leave door opened to air conditioned hallway because it was 28 / 29 degrees C in the apartment. No way was this place like the pictures or worth the money we paid for 2 nights in August 2025. First time booking with and will not book again!

After the Expedia booking, which was supposed to be the total cost of the booking. The company managing this bnb asked for us to scan and upload id, credit card, and enter a credit card for the deposit. Well on the day of the check in when i was about to get on my flight, all of a sudden they needed a bank transfer for the deposit and they said they would keep part of the deposit as a processing fee. I then had to zelle the money and have yet to get my security deposit back. They are quick to give you many reasons why they will cancel your booking without a refund. Also, the place was old, the bathroom door did not have a lock, kept getting stuck, and even popped out of the door, leaving me inside.

My stay at this property was great. It’s definitely a good place to book if you’re on a budget. The house was clean and well put together. The check in process was fairly easy and quick. I was only concerned with it not actually being a penthouse was more of a 2 bedroom condo. But overall it was still a nice stay. I would def cook this place again.

They are scammers. They are selling rooms that doesn’t belong to them. When we got to the place it was an apartment that people live and there was nobody to talk to us. We didn’t get to see the room, had had to book another room at an hotel. It was awful but thank God Expedia refunded our money back.

Absolute Appalling! Avoid this place at all costs

Booked this apartment-style rental the evening before planned arrival. I paid in full through hotels.com like usually. Everything seemed fine… until the next morning. There I received an email demanding a photo of my government-issued ID and a photo of my credit card and a bank wire transfer of an exuberant amount as a damage deposit. No reputable hotel or short-term rental would ever demand a wire transfer for a deposit, especially not without prior warning or visibility on the booking site. Wire transfers are non-refundable, unprotected, and impossible to reverse. There’s no fraud protection like with a credit card hold, and of course, the money would never have arrived in time anyway. When I declined to wire the deposit, they refused to grant me access to the room. They also refused to issue a refund, hiding behind internal “policies” that are not visible or disclosed on Hotels.com at the time of booking. I later read reviews from other travelers stating that they hadn't received their deposit back, even weeks later. I was forced to book a room in a different hotel last minute. The whole experience feels like a predatory trap designed to exploit unsuspecting guests. It flirts with the line of outright fraud without technically crossing it, and it’s disgraceful that this is even allowed on a major platform. Do not book here unless you enjoy sending your most sensitive data via unsecured and being extorted.

Close to downtown convenience to travel. Fairly quiet for apartment. Parking lot and entry into condo was complicated. Clear instructions were not given until communicating with management. Took an hour just to enter into condo. Condo was very dirty. Bed sheets were not changed with crumbs all over the bed. Bathroom was not cleaned at all with hairs in the shower and black mold on tiles. Last renters belonging were still in the bathroom with no organization. Bathroom smelled unpleasant.

This property was not prepared for rental. Our confirmation indicated a different address with a different bed configuration. The check-in process was terrible, we had to pay additional security deposit and for parking which was supposed to be included with the stay. We had to wait 20 minutes in the cold to get the right entry code. There were personal items out all over the condo, including prescription medication (very unsafe). No instructions for anything and NO response from anyone regarding our issues or to confirm our check-out. Worst rental experience I have had.

Not a great experience

The unit was good but the management was not that good. After booking, paying for the room and giving my deposit, the day of the booking the management team texted me saying the deposit went from increased which was not in the agreement. They ended up comprising to a lower cost, but to bring that up last min was not professional. Then the door code they gave me didn't work and the parking spot they gave me was not right as I had a not on my car saying I parked in someones spot and I should leave cash for them as they could have had my car towed. The communication was horrible. Didn't have a good experience

Dirty and broken

This location was in poor condition. It was not clean. We found piles of hair around on the floor, dryer sheets scatter in one bedroom, and many of the plates and dishes had black specks in them. I don't know what it was but I would have accepted dead bugs, or small animal poop....I really don't know. Many items are damaged or broken including pieces of the floor that are cracked and covered with a bathmat. One pot had a broken handle making it not usable, the curtain rods are falling off the wall, one cupboard door in the kitchen was broken right off and was balancing on the lower door.....the list goes on. I was very disappointed. It was gross staying there so we had to cut our trip short. With an expensive nonrefundable payment to NOT use the property for two of our three nights, it really sucked. We drove back home instead at 9pm with two toddlers. When I messaged the owner, I didn't even get an apology. I barely even got a response...just a demand for photos. It has now been a week since sending them and since we left and still nothing. I guess empathy isn't for everyone. This was our fourth trip in this fashion to attend TIFF every year and also our first time dealing with any issues like this, previously it has always been a very positive experience.
