Staff were all friendly and accommodating. The hotel is aged and seems to be undergoing some renovations. Room was passively (rushed) cleaned: nail clippings on bathroom floor, coin and threads on carpet. Cold water tap barely trickled. The fan on the heating /cooling system did not work. Temperature wise not an issue but the white noise would have been appreciated to cover early morning city noise.

The hotel feels old, the bathroom door didn't close much less lock, there was a little door open behind the bathroom probably used for repairs and it didn't close either, the A/C makes a noise frequently like a thump, like someone dropped something. I wanted to watch TV and when I picked the remote, it was really dirty, like it had been weeks without cleaning it, which made me wonder what else was not cleaned??? I only spent 2 nights here, after spending a few nights in another hotel nearby, considering the price difference, I would recommend looking for other options. I didn't use the amenities, the location is really good which is why I picked it, there are a lot of restaurants, shopping mall, stores, etc., within walking distance. Check-in and checkout were easy, elevators are separated by level groups, which made it easy to use without a lot of waiting time.

I stayed here for 5 nights 4 days and I have to honestly say my stay was just okay. The ONLY best part of my stay was the kids corner place located on the second floor. The breakfast buffet was mediocre and it was $30/$40 per person, the omelette was the only item I enjoyed, the pancakes were hard and the French toast was no flavor and soggy. The rooms were very outdated in my opinion, no room service, the AC was not operating at the time because it was winter time and they don’t operate the ac systems during the winter time. They use cool air instead of the AC, which I feel was not cool since it did get hot on some nights. The parking structure had pipes corroded pipes and was leaking on the cars. They had yellow caution tape on most of the parking stalls making it impossible to park on the main parking levels. The restaurant was under construction and was re-opening next week so they didn’t have some of the menu items I saw online that looked good. The only reason I booked this hotel was for the kid friendly amenities and that was a plus, they also have an indoor pool and water slide which was good but we didn’t use the pool area. My overall experience was just okay but I will not be booking this hotel again!

We regularly stay at the Chelsea. The rooms are modern and the beds are very comfortable. The location is central; good for walking or taking a streetcar. The pool and exercise areas are wonderful. The staff are always helpful. For example, this trip, in late Spring, it was rainy and chilly. I was cold at night. The staff provided us with a space heater. We are looking forward to the Market being reopened.
