"Surprisingly clean though bldg shows signs of aging. While it's far, this works out as your perfect point if your focus is exploring lesser known West Banks tomb but more enchanting like Habu Temple, Medina and Valley of Queens.breakfast, price and customer service are all top notch too"

"Excellent location by the Nile, with its own pier and convenient boat shuttle to the east bank. Unique architecture and room decor. In-house restaurant with daily changing menu. No-nonsense, characterful owner. Helpful staff."

"The staff and owners of the hotel were incredibly friendly and did a lot to make us feel comfortable (including offering us a room when we had already checked out and were waiting for our flight). However, unfortunately ours was the only room on the group floor which was right next to reception and the dining table where other guest ate dinner and breakfast. As a result, we found the room very noisy and uncomfortably had to ask other guests to be quiet at nighttime when we were trying to sleep. Also, the bathroom window wouldn’t shut so we had lots of mosquitoes in our room and I got bitten a lot whilst sleeping. The negatives are a shame because overall the hotel is really nice, the staff were great and it’s really close of the valley of the kings, we just got the short straw with the room we were given. "
"We had an excellent stay at Sharqotel Luxor!
The hotel is in the country side, but perfect for exploring the west bank, and is close by to restaurants and shops. Especially the beautiful Habu Tempel, don’t miss it!
The room was clean, modern and had a great view! Our host, Mohammed Dahab, was very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great as well, and huge!
He helped us arrange a taxi back to the hotel.
Thank you for the stay!"
