Top Tomatin Hotel Reviews

The Glen Mhor Hotel and Uile-bheist Brewery & Distillery

10/10 Excellent

"the location was perfect for exploring Inverness, easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping, music spots, and the museum, and right on the river to access the walking paths to the islands and Botanic garden. Breakfast buffet was well supplied, the brewery/distillery/bar was inviting and comfortable, the bartenders were helpful and knowledgeable. it was interesting to take the tour and learn about how you start up a whisky distillery. Room was very comfortable and large, with a large bathroom with a good shower. We would definitely recommend staying here when in Inverness."

Columba Hotel Inverness by Compass Hospitality

8/10 Good

"Unfortunately it was massively over priced but this was due to the Loch Ness marathon weekend. We stayed 2 nights and were very disappointed that we didn't get breakfast on the first morning due to having to leave early for the marathon. I think they could have offered to open half hour earlier personally considering that there were a lot of runners staying at the hotel! The breakfast the next day was nice enough though so no complaints there. They had no chef for evening meals which we weren't told about before coming up either so later Saturday night we had to go out and look for food which was tricky given it was a really busy weekend for the city! When we booked there was nowhere to click double "bed" so unfortunately we had 2 single beds. When I asked about it after checking my invoice the lady behind the desk said that I had to stipulate when booking even though I clicked double room!! The lady on reception on the day we checked out however was very lovely. She booked us a taxi and she was very helpful."

Waverley Guest House

8/10 Good

"I give this property a solid 4 in its class. That is to say an older, affordable walk-up in the city centre and near the train station. They could renovate, modernize and charge triple the rate. I had to depart before the complimentary breakfast was served but it looked plentiful and fresh. If you’re looking for basic overnight accommodation then this should suit."

AC Hotel by Marriott Inverness

10/10 Excellent

"Great shiny and new hotel with fantastic staff who were super friendly and helpful. Only a few minutes walk from the station so quiet and private location by the river. Room was great and had all mod concerns. Only downside was there was a fair bit of noise from building work happening on the external building but it was only in the daytime. Would happily stay there again."
