Not my cup of tea
A 5:00 pm check in is ridiculous!!! Small and just a few rooms, why would it take 6 hours to make up a few rooms!!! Also advertise a free breakfast, yes it’s free if you make it!! The only thing that was good was the site the host set up, it was well done. Oh and the price was cheap, guess you get what you pay for.
I love the character of the property. You must appreciate how they have kept as much detail as possible. I only ate toast so I don’t have an opinion on the food. The bed was comfortable. If I have to offer a suggestion it would be to add a door from the kitchen to the hall/cleaning closet. As someone from Texas, a fan to circulate the air would be great in the common areas. I stayed in the Reynolds room. Perfect for 1 or 2.
I’d stay again!
Owner Landon was WONDERFUL!! He was easy to communicate with before and during our stay. If we find ourselves in this area of the country, we hope to stay there again!!
Landon is a great host! We appreciated the hospitality very much and the fully stocked kitchen for breakfast. The house is very distinctive. We enjoyed staying in Toledo’s Old West End for the first time!
A fabulous tuen of the century home converted to a charming and comfortable guesthouse. Owner has thought of every way to make the stay a comfortable one. I loved the quirky property in Toledo’s Old West End - the highest concentration of turn of the century homes east of the Mississippi.
Absolutely beautiful location in a gorgeous part of the city. The building has so many characteristic features, I highly recommend staying here! Checking-in is a breeze and getting to your room is a short walk. Please do yourself a favor and take the time to stay here!
Ever seen a cool, old, house from the street and want to take a look inside? The King's Throne Inn can satisfy that curiosity for a night. Me and my wife spent our anniversary here and this place was really charming. Every room was filled with antiques, paintings, old lamps, and oddities that gave it such a fun feel. The curator has even hidden many little chess pieces throughout ( We made a little game out of spotting them ). We had spent our night in the Kings room and it was very roomy, warm and immaculately clean. Though id recommend bringing along a laptop or tablet if you want to watch tv in your room. We just used the included BT radio ourselves which was plenty enough for ambience. The suite reminded me of happy memories of spending the night at my grandmas as a kid, lost in the old furniture and the glow of the vintage lamps. Definitely a snapshot of a bygone era I can remember fondly. Also the coolest living room I have ever stayed in. It would be perfect for D&D or board games, and comes with a large flat screen. Just so cozy and cool!
Pros: Immaculately clean, Roomy, Cute & Thought Provoking, No signs of bugs, pests or black mold. Plenty of board games and books, blankets, and a generous offering of breakfast and coffee.
Cons: Its an old building in the 20th century and that comes with weird, or peeling paint in some places, odd fitting doors, and some oddities. But that's part of the charm for us.
We have already recommended this place to friends
The property was tucked in a very private setting. The owner met us when we arrived. It was quiet there. I live in a quiet location. So being quiet there was a plus for me. If ever I'm in the area again. I will be sure to book another stay.
It's nice to take a break from hotel chains that are the same no matter where you are, and Kings Throne meets the bill. Minutes from the excellent Toledo Museum, close to local dining options, super comfortable bed. Takes you back in time just a little bit and the innkeeper is very friendly and accommodating. Keyless check-in and -out worked like a charm.

Very comfortable guest house in Toledo.
We stopped here for one night whilst touring around Ohio. This is a Victorian house with many features from that period. The host, Landon, greeted us and explained everything to us. The property sits in a quiet neighbourhood, but still convenient for downtown Toledo. The room we had was well furnished and equipped. One also has the use of the downstairs reception rooms, kitchen and even the laundry room. Would recommend if you are looking for a slightly “quirky” guest house in Toledo.
Landon is a superb and welcoming host, sharing his lovely, historic old house in Toledo's Old West End. We were only in town one night, but we’d love to stay again.
