"When we booked for a night we were conscious that the hotel is a relatively no frills place (a bit dilapidated, simple furniture, but clean) and expected no luxury. "We had a lovely stay at Residence Sophia. We were given a lovely greeting and help with our bags. The cabin was exactly as advertised -clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The grounds were well maintained with very nice landscaping. The two swimming pools were brilliant, warm, clean and not crowded. Résidence Sophia is also in a great location for exploring the island easily via the T10. Thank you for a wonderful stay! "

"Charming and comfortable hotel on the fringes of the old town. Everything is very walkable. Lots of restaurants in the immediate area and down in the port area. There was a small market on Friday right outside the hotel with a coffee truck however everything was very quiet at the weekend. "

"Breakfast was poor, very limited fresh fruit, eggs mixed in with sausages which meant no good for vegetarians, yogurts weren’t bio only cornflakes or rolled oats as cereal options, not up to 4 star level. Cats allowed to roam free, with their food bowls on the furniture No tea bags in the room and large dead spider in bathroom completely missed by cleaner However reception staff were very helpful and the view is amazing.
