"Selva Verda is in a beautiful location on the Sarapiqui river, slightly further off the tourist trail but a true eco-lodge. Great place to stay to immerse yourself in the Costa Rican rainforest and spot wildlife. We spotted a lot within the lodge area. I would recommend the guided nature hike which took us further into the grounds of the lodge. The guide was very knowledgeable and went at a manageable pace for our group of mixed ages. The swimming pool was good. Rooms are functional and clean and some have great views. The food was slightly disappointing but the location and experience made the stay worthwhile."

"We loved our stay here. The grounds of the property are beautiful and interesting with lots of birds and butterflies (note there is some small construction going on at the moment but this didn’t affect us). It was a relaxing and peaceful place for a few days with excellent hiking nearby to the waterfalls and river swimming pools. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the enclosed seating area at the front of each cabin, with fresh coffee provided, was a great place just to sit for a while. There is a hot tub and sauna on site and I had a wonderful massage with the lovely Erica. The restaurant was good and all the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a positive stay. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you're in Costa Rica."
