On arrival, the oven and hob were visibly dirty with grease and residue, and the kitchen overall did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There was no bin provided anywhere in the property, only loose bin bags left for guests to manage waste themselves. The bathroom showed visible mould around the shower area. "It was a nice place and clean until we pulled the sofa bed out and it was dirty, a quick hover wouldn't have done it any harm. Overall its a nice place to stay, we did try and phone the numbers given to inform of the condition of the sofa bed however not one number was answered, we ended up getting the caretaker, who was 100% helpful"

"My rooms windows were triple glazed, unfortunately the window catches were missing so the didn’t close. My room was right next to a busy road. Not only this there was a loud wedding party which went on till 12.30am. I picked the hotel because it was a spa hotel with a gym. On arrival you were required to register online for the facilities but the protocol was too difficult to do and because of this they wanted me to pay £10 for the gym each time- not helpful in the slightest. They said they couldn’t move me as hotel was full, but it clearly was not. They refused cash but there were NO signs to say this anywhere in hotel or online. Bar staff were really rude when I wanted to pay in cash. I had booked for two nights as I was due to teach in Shrewsbury. I got 90 minutes sleep the first night and checked out the next morning. On the plus side when I complained about my issues they did refund me."
