"The rooms at this hotel are excellent—spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable. Housekeeping also deserves recognition for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and consistency throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the service in other areas fell far short of expectations. The concierge team was not particularly knowledgeable and offered little in the way of helpful guidance. Even more disappointing was the attitude of the bellboys and greeters, who seemed largely indifferent. There was no warm welcome, no greetings, and no proactive offer of assistance, which is surprising for a hotel of this caliber. Overall, while the physical aspects of the stay were impressive, the lack of attentive and engaging service made the experience disappointing."

"I booked two rooms at the Renaissance Beijing for my friends, one of whom uses a wheelchair. They were kept waiting a long time during check-in, and there was confusion locating the reservation. I had to send over the PDF with both confirmed booking IDs, which was frustrating. I’m not sure if this was an issue with Expedia or the hotel, but typically bookings should be easy to find by last name, so this shouldn’t have taken that long. To their credit, they upgraded his room for the inconvenience. The upgraded room was spacious and worked well for his wheelchair needs. The place was clean, and they were happy with their rooms overall. A rough and confusing check-in experience, but the stay itself was comfortable in the end."

"The hotel has a convenient location walking distance to the Forbidden city, TianAnMen Square and many malls. however the room is out of date. A major drawback is strong and disgusting cigarette smell even though our room is supposed to be smoke free. Another major drawback drawback is the terrible bathroom layout. The room has no single bathroom——- shower, tub, sink, toilets are scattered at different corners of the room, not combined as one unit. That means after you walked out of the wet shower stall, it is directly the big bedroom. There isn’t a dry, private transition area to change and keep your clothes dry. Last but not least The property description was very misleading. It says the one bedroom apartment sleeps four people, which leaves you the impression “the room must have a bed and a sofa bed”. but in reality, it only has one bed. when I was trying to clarify via messaging with the hotel host, she kept dodging the question by saying “you can sleep as many people as you want but there is only 1 bed”."
