"First of all it could not be found. My sat nav couldn't find it. Varney Rd did not have a street sign and I don't think 44 actually exists. It took over 1 hour to locate this den. The key lockbox is situated on a wall, unmarked, and with all adjacent doors un numbered, on what can only be described as wasteland behind some shops. "I had an excellent experience here. I checked in during the early hours, and the porter was already waiting—very friendly and even offered me tea or coffee on arrival. The room was spotless, compact, and perfect for a one-night stay, with a lovely bath towel provided. There was no hairdryer in the room, but otherwise everything was just right. Parking usually comes with a charge, but it wasn’t working during my visit, which was a bonus. Despite being located at a service area, it was surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was buffet-style with plenty of choice, and the Full English was piping hot. I would definitely stay again. "

I booked a Standard room with a sofa bed which was both spacious and tastefully decorated, offering the perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The standout features of my stay included buffet breakfast which truly elevated the overall experience. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly and professionally. The amenities provided were top-notch, and the cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in both the room and the shared spaces. Overall, I would rate my stay 5 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend Novotel to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay with family. I look forward to returning in the future."
