Matira Beach is a postcard-perfect sweep of pristine sand that stretches for a mile (1.6 kilometers) along Bora Bora’s southernmost tip. Soft white sands slope gently into the protected waters of the sapphire-colored lagoon at one of the island’s few public-access beaches. Spend the day relaxing under the shade of a coconut palm or explore the warm waters.
