Day trips are available from Lucerne that start with a scenic boat ride across Lake Lucerne followed by a trip to the top of Mount Pilatus via a cogwheel railway. The mountain offers many other options for recreation and scenery including gondola rides to the bottom, hiking trails atop the summit, and an aerial obstacle park in the treetops.
