Things to do in Galilee

Set on a quiet lane in Nazareth’s bustling souk district is a small cavernous church where followers of the Christian faith believe Jesus once studied.

Towering over the skyline of Nazareth’s Old City, this ancient church is believed by many to stand on the site of the childhood home of the Virgin Mary.

Artwork that depicts the life of the Holy Family decorates this church, which according to popular belief was erected over Joseph’s carpentry workshop.

Watch as pilgrims gather at this 18th-century church, which is noteworthy for its sacred spring and a collection of colorful frescoes.
