Lower Rapscott Cross That's the name on the signpost, but all the maps name this as "Litchaton Cross". However, the maps also show Litchaton Cross at the point where Hookway Down Lane meets the top of Litchaton Hill, near Nadrid. On the right, the lane crosses the floodplain of the River Bray to cross the river at Brayley Bridge.

The lane can be seen descending past the nearest trees, down a side valley. Left of centre, beyond Accott Woods, another deeper side valley enters from the opposite side of the Venn.
