Theatre of Marcellus

I think this is my favorite building in Rome, the Teatro di Marcello. The bottom portion, which closely resembles the Colosseum, was built in about 13 BC, and are the ruines of an ancient Roman open-air theater. The top, more ‘modern’ portion, was added on in the early 1100’s and is currently the home of some of Rome’s richest citizens.
