"My stay at Hotel Raíces de Mar completely met my expectations for a boutique hotel right in the Plazuela Machada. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was perfect! The small soaking pool was refreshing and I enjoyed exploring el Centro from the doorstep."

"Was looking for a nice culture look place to stay in el centro. This place was amazing. Love the architecture, the greenery, the views and the pool. 100 percent recommended. Would definitely come back."

"The property is centrally located and within walking distance of restaurants, cute coffee shops, shopping boutiques, Mercado, catedral and much more. The hotel was very clean, didn’t had an issue at all, the staff was nice and welcoming. I will definitely be back and will stay here. "
"While at the hotel the fob programmer for the keys broke down. We were not provided a key for the room until the last 12 hours of our stay. We had the security guard open the room for us every time (he was nice). When you check in the request you wear a bracelet. There is no other reason other than access to the hotel for the bracelet. No other service provided with it. One of the receptionists was really nice, she tried to make our stay more pleasant even with the downfalls. We had to disconnect the TV to be able charge our phones. The outlets did not work. The small refrigerator did not work also. The room was serviced daily that was nice. "
