"We decided to pay at the property and due to their own system failure, my CC was not processed on their end but was deducted from my checking account. They then asked to swipe my CC again as a hold without sharing they would charge me again for each night individually. It is obviously a glitch on their end. Upon leaving, i was charged double until I go to my bank and take the charge off. Extra expense I was not expecting. Due to the issue they took off the valet parking. I am upset that I was not offered a discount for the inconvenience. Additionally, it was discovered the first night at the place that the sheets on one of the beds was not changed and there was blood of them. They provide a refrigerator but no microwave. It took me two times to get them to change the sheets. For how much we ended up spending, we are not impressed. "

"Beautiful property. The lady at reception was very kind and the breakfast offered was wonderful. Yummy breads, fresh fruits, good coffee. I think the reason I'm only giving 4 stars is that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. It was very warm when we visited and the room temperature never got below 76 degrees. They do offer fans, which we used but the room never cooled down, even with the screen door open. Aside from that, the hotel was a pleasant stay. "

"Of the three rooms we in which we have stayed at Seven Gables, the Garden Room was our least favorite. It is comfortably appointed like the others but is situated at ground level. Also, the bathroom ceiling is low, which was manageable but not ideal (husband is 6’7”). "
