"Excellent from the minute I checked in! We had dinner and drinks at the bar. It was delicious and the drinks were spot on! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I love the outdoor seating outside each room. I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the other fun things the hotel has to offer. Including a speakeasy! We definitely will be back!! "

"The history of The Talbott Inn is very interesting. It was so cool to stay in an inn with such a rich history. I stayed in the Jesse James room and I loved it. Not a big room but was perfectly comfortable and very quiet. It was great having a historic room with modern amenities. Highly recommend staying at The Talbott Inn if you love American history."

"The motelier was great. Stayed up waiting for my arrival. Woke up in the middle of the night to give me a new key. Thank you. The sheet on the bed was thin. Had to get my own blanket. The bathroom was in need of some age-related repairs. Otherwise, a great clean room. Nice look on the outside. Easily accessible, though a bit outside of town. Most reasonably priced properties are within an hour's drive of Churchill Downs on Derby weekend. That was an asset!"
