"Kate our host greeted me on arrival. Sandhurst Farm Forge is in an ideal location for visiting friends and family in the area and also ideal if you are looking for a quiet retreat.
Kate provides the most amazing Welcome Pack - with tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc and lots of goodies for breakfast the next morning, including sausages and bacon from the local butcher.
If you are keen to walk the country lanes then just take Seed Road down the long, not steep, hill to Newnham where you will find The George Inn. Please bear in mind the lanes are narrow and there are no footpaths or street lights on this road. I don't know if there are shops in the village or if it is easy to get a takeaway as I didn't need either.
Sandhurst Farm Forge is very well equipped with a huge kitchen and everything that you could possibly need for a short stay. There is a kitchen table that seats up to six people. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and separate freezer.
The bathroom with a walk in shower and gorgeous big bath all look brand new!
The bedroom has blinds and curtains so I was easily able to block out the light, which afforded a great night's sleep and so peaceful too.
There is a large sitting room for relaxing in with two sofas and a television on the wall.
