Galveston Beach Hotel

"The updating is very nice, though a few little corners may have been skipped! Nothing intolerable! Bed was very comfortable. Hotel was very clean! Only downfall for us, pool area closed at 10pm and we went to sit out and relax and enjoy the gulf breeze by the pool (not swim), but were told we had to leave by 10! Felt like a child with a curfew!"

"There is a sense of luxury just walking up to the hotel but especially once you get inside. I was promptly greeted at the check in desk and was given great customer service. The room was a nice size, had a great view of the ocean, and was clean. The hotel is as close as you can get to the ocean in Galveston. They had several daily activities for both adults and children which was great since we have a young daughter. I would definitely stay here again!"

"I’ve stayed at SSH for many years, was there when they were filming Space Cowboy!! Love the pool! The staff at the pool bar/food area were a little slow for the few people that were there, also no charging to your room, but luckily I had brought a card down with me. Slight hassle but everything else was in order."

"Really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and updated hotel. The pool was very nice. We splurged for a cabana and it was fantastic. The was awesome. The Galvez is in great location. Walking distance to bars and a short drive the strand. Definitely cool back in the future."

"rooms are older but very clean. comfy beds with lots of pillows. very easy to get to nice beach not alot of walking. and great swimming pool that great grandson loved. Breakfast was good with great variety the breakfast ladies were so nice and kept everything well stocked. we all enjoyed!! would recommend!!"
