"We loved it here. Such an amazing place. It’s remote, but the signage was good and our driver found it. Probably best to get there during the day. We took a chocolate making class and went on the night walk in the jungle. It is an eco resort, so don’t expect hot showers, which is usually a deal breaker for me. But the place was so nice we were very happy we stayed here. "

"We had a really nice stay at Grand Selva. The family who runs it is fabulous! Our kids had a great time playing together with their family. They were very welcoming. The meals were wonderful. The pool is one of the nicest we've experienced in Ecuador. Gran Hotel Palmar del Río

Gran Hotel Palmar del Río

10/10 Excellent
"Pool and jacuzzi were maintained daily and it was the perfect way to finish off the day with a couple of beers. Alcohol and snacks are sold half a block away. Breakfast was decent, staff friendly and there is enough parking. Make sure to close the windows at night unless you want to be awaken by roosters at 5am."
