Bellasera Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Clean room, nice staff, great location"

Marco Beach Ocean Suites
8/10 Good
"Marco Ocean beach Suites was overall a pleasant stay, though a few issues keep it from being a full 5 stars. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable which made it easy to relax after a long day.
Housekeeping was inconsistent. Despite leaving the placard for housekeeping, maid came only once during our 6-night stay. One morning a maid knocked (despite the ‘do not disturb’) and we swapped fresh for wet towels.
The biggest frustration was the beach setup. Guests have to carry the their own beach umbrella and chairs down to the beach which gets old quickly. What makes it more frustrating is that the hotel does have lounge chairs and umbrellas set up but they are exclusively for unit owners. Even paying to use them isn’t an option for guests.
Bicycles are advertised as being available but the dozen or so available, but the dozen or so on property were all in some state of disrepair - rusted, flat tires or otherwise unusable.
While the hotel is very quite at night (a plus) it’s largely because there isn’t much happening there beyond the beach.
Also worth noting, construction underway to update pool and rooftop deck - noisy during the day and a big bummer to not have a pool.
The best thing about the Marco Beach Suites is the proximity to the JW Marriott, just a couple buildings down. If your budget allows, for the higher room rate, that’s really the place to be. Amazing there.

Port of the Islands Everglades Adventure Resort
6/10 Okay
"First off, if you go through Expedia, not all fees and taxes are included. The resort tacks on an additional $10 to be paid either via email bill or when you arrive. This is an aging property, so take that in mind. We stayed overnight in a "cottage", which was part of a separate area off the main hotel. There are 8-10(?) connected apartment style, not individual. Each has a nice screened in patio area to sit outside. The room was clean except under the beds. That hadn't been swept in a long time, and there was at least one hair elastic collecting dust bunnies there. I only looked as we were leaving to be sure I hadn't knocked anything underneath. The shower grout looks stained from mold, but tiles/floor were clean. Only 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel provided, no face cloths or floor mat (for use after the shower). TV does work, but you have to figure out what HDMI is actually connected to the DTV box, (ours was under "game console'). Batteries in remote were dead so had to manually move channels/turn on etc from the main DTV box. Didn't try the WiFi to stream. The room has a full sized coffee maker, cooktop/micro and mini fridge. Ice you have to get from main hotel, but that's relatively close. Included breakfast is scrambled eggs/toast/sausage. Anything else is an order from the kitchen off a menu with resort prices. The staff were friendly, you just may have to hunt them down tho. "
