"The hotel was perfect for what we wanted, spotless room and bathroom, comfy bed, quiet, everything worked. Staff were great, check in and out so painless. Really good breakfast. Nothing to moan about."

"The room was clean, but the AC filter was very dirty, making the unit work very hard, but it functioned! The view was amazing, the breakfast good (but the same everyday we stayed) and the staff was very nice. It is a grand older hotel in a beautiful location with free parking. We will go back!"

"This was a lovely hotel extremely well-situated close to the center of old town in Canterbury, no more than a 5-minute walk to the cathedral, and with a small market conveniently located next door. The staff were wonderful, and the room couldn't be beat. I ended up in the top floor suite, with a comfy living room, lovely bathroom, and wonderful bed and bedroom. I was traveling solo, but there was ample room in the suite for several people to gather and relax. (There were even some board games!) My absolute favorite part was the private balcony, which had plenty of seating and wonderful views of the cathedral and city. Having breakfast in the hotel was a convenient option, although I would suggest ordering hot items a la carte off the menu instead of paying for the breakfast-included rate. (Although it wasn't expensive, I wasn't able to substitute it for my preferred breakfast.) All in all, this hotel was an extremely comfortable and convenient place to stay, and I would absolutely stay here again!"

"We were very lucky to have a beautiful room with separate lounge and large bathroom with separate bath and shower. These were newly decorated. Some areas of the hotel have yet to be redecorated and there is no restaurant. There is a bar but no one seems to be in charge although everyone was friendly. Very much in the process of becoming a good hotel. Free parking. Quite."

"I was pleasantly surprised with the Grand Burstin. Hotel was very clean, staff were really friendly and the amenities were fantastic. The entertainment at the hotel was out of this world and so unexpected. I had a wonderful evening full of entertainment. Bar staff are very friendly. Especially the lady with the long brown hair. Thank you Burstin!"
