Tunnel Mountain Resort

8/10 Good

"The small swimming pool was really unique but very very cold. Felt not heated at all. Our girls could not even stay in it, so I myself did not try. I do not like very chilled water, or I would have enjoyed the use of the pool. I wanted to cook in my unit. There was trouble with the two burner stove. It was much too small and the breaker kept blowing. Other than those two issues our stay was great. It was a comfortable, very clean place. We enjoyed the shuttle transit to downtown. Very easy to use and it ran frequently."

"The staff were very kind from the moment we walked in, till the moment we walked out. Unfortunately the pool was down for maintenance at this time but we found lots of other ways to enjoy our stay. We were very close to all the little shops around, only about a 10 minute walk. I will definitely be back!"

"Our unit was quite nice. Spacious clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t recommend eating at the restaurant. Low quality meals and very expensive. I’m quite sure our pizza was from a box and not handmade and cooked in a stone oven. Amenities were ok though the indoor hot tub was being renovated."

"We arrived at the hotel hoping our room might be ready a little before the guaranteed 4:00 p.m. check-in time, as it was raining heavily outside and my daughter needed time to get ready for a dance competition. The front desk attendant advised that we would receive a text once the room was ready, so we waited on the couches directly beside the front desk. After waiting most of the afternoon with no updates, around 3:45 p.m. the attendant finally radioed housekeeping to check on the status of our room. At 3:59 p.m. we were told the housekeeping manager still needed to double-check the room, and we ultimately did not receive the text that our room was ready until 4:10 p.m. What disappointed me most was the lack of urgency or thought given to the situation, especially considering the 4:00 p.m. check-in time is advertised as guaranteed. While waiting within earshot of the desk, we could also hear staff complaining about customer requests, which left a very poor impression and soured the start of our stay. I understand delays can happen, but better communication, professionalism, and consideration for guests would have gone a long way."
