"Highly recommend"

"Staff was not friendly and offered no explanations regarding breakfast or which rooms on the main floor were open for guest use. Since it is INCREDIBLY difficult to get to and there’s no towns nearby, we had no options but to eat dinner there. The food was good but this definitely brought up our overall costs. Our stay was okay but given that it was by far our most expensive stay of our Scotland trip, I can’t say I’d recommend it. P "

"The room was clean. Breakfast was reasonable, lots of choice, but nothing special. Spa treatment was amazing. Pool too cold, steam room didn't seem to be working efficiently. Hot tub didn't seem very powerful and wasn't monitored for people not getting out when it was off. Major disappointment was I'd taken a voucher to use to go towards my stay, the receptionist didn't enter the code when we checked in, she said she'd do it later. When we went to check out she told us the voucher wouldn't work and we owed the full amount. I was highly surprised that we weren't informed as soon as she found the voucher wasn't working to give us notice, I also felt the receptionist wasn't very sorry about the inconvenience caused. I feel this wasn't great service and wouldn't stay again for this reason and the other facts stated above unless the price was significantly less, as it stands the facilities weren't actually value for money. "

"The hotel is really beautiful and staff were very helpful and polite. A real highlight was the food which was excellent at both dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately the trip was let down by the fact that it was not communicated to the hotel via Expedia that I had booked for 2 adults and 1 child, this meant that there was no bed in the room for my son (which was rectified by 8pm) and we had to pay for his dinner and breakfast despite booking the dinner, bed and breakfast option via Expedia for 2 adults and 1 child. I believe this is not the fault of the hotel but Expedia's. "

"The reception staff were all lovely and super helpful. We had a minor problem with the shower and the receptionist sent the maintenance man straight away. We opted in for text alerts which was really helpful to ask questions about the restaurant, the pool etc. Unfortunately we didn’t use the pool on our first two days, then it was out of action on the final day of our trip, when we’d planned to go. But that was the only slight disappointment. The food in the Waterside Restaurant was lovely, and the service was great. We had eaten in other restaurants in the vicinity (The Courtyard and Tayside Marina) but the service in those wasn’t as good as The Waterside The cottage was clean and had everything we needed including fridge and dishwasher. We enjoyed the spacious balcony as the weather was sunny and we could sit out of an evening enjoying the peace and tranquility. We also remarked on the very well kept grounds "
