Ikonisch sovjethotel op een goede plek in de stad. In de kamers heeft tijd stil gestaan. Alles is oud en gedateerd. Wel goed ontbijt en vele medewerkers zijn behulpzaam.

Location, right in the centre of the city. The price of this four star hotel is very reasonable.It’s dated and decor not very attractive, but it is ideal for sightseeing and there are lots of dining options around

Very convenient location but that’s about the only positive thing about this hotel. Really needs a full refurbishment, AC doesn’t actually cools down the room, WiFi isn’t available in all the rooms, check-in and payment is very slow.

Chambre glauque avec rideaux transparents!! comment esperez vous dormir qd les rayons du soleil tapent en plein sur votre lit dès 5h30? Je n ai jamais vu ca! A l arrivee personne pour vous aider, on vous regarde galérer avec votre valise. (Je suis une femme seule). Check-in long car tout le monde discute entre eux. Hotel Uzbekistan may need a little TLC to bring it back to its original grandeur, but as it is we have no complains at all. Location is central and easy accessible from TAS airport, the Amir Temur metro station is right downstairs and it was very convenient for getting around the city. We were on the 15th floor and the room was absolutely quiet at night. The 4 roomy elevators worked fine. We had a small balcony and the room itself was larger than your average modern hotel room. The King size bed was a bit firm but comfy and the black out drapes were nice too. There was a sitting area by the entrance of the room with 2 arm chairs, a table and a lamp. Also a desk with a chair, a mini fridge with water bottles provided every day. There was also an electric kettle, cups and tea bags. There was plenty of storage, a big wardrobe and a chest drawer. Housekeeping cleaned the room everyday quickly and we would find it tidied up when we were back mid afternoon. Toiletries and slippers were provided. The buffet breakfast was varied, delicious and plentiful. My vegetarian husband had many options to choose from every morning. The bar had good service and a variety of drinks at fair prices. It was very pleasant to stop by for a cold beer after doing walking tours all day. All in all, we were very happy with our stay at hotel Uzbekistan, the staff was helpful, friendly and polite. Everyone spoke really good English. We would definitely stay there again.
