We stayed in 2 different rooms. 1st room the sink was blogged, They tried to fix it but it didn’t work. Carpet was very old and dirty. No A/C, unit was controlled for the whole hotel from front desk, it was all in one unit. 2nd room had A/C with controller, (luckily). The room and bathroom could have used some upgrades. Carpet again old and dirty looking. The sink and tube had cracked tiles. Tv had no English Channel.

This hotel is located near metro station and bus stop which airport bus arrives. But super markets are far from this area. It is convenient the hotel has bank to exchange money and early check-in service(available from 6 a.m. this time) The room I stayed has enough space to rest.

Most middle-of-the-road hotel in Tashkent

The outside of the building is rather breathtaking, especially at night when they have added so many lights and graphics. Inside is an old, Soviet-era hotel...which is fine. It's totally affordable and the breakfast was a really nice touch. I think if I were to advise a friend, I would say go ahead and spend a little more money and find something else. If they were a casual acquaintance, meh, go ahead and stay there.

An excellent and value for money option right in the Tashkent's city centre for travelers who would like to experience soviet utilitarian architecture at first hand. Accommodation, furniture, elevators, decoration, reception, stairs, doors etc are all coming straight from the 70s. Property although very long in the tooth is kept very clean and staff is very friendly. Food at restaurant is very good. Do not compare it with other more luxurious options in the area. It's a league of its own.

Best thing was the generous size of the room. Didn't like the wet patch on the carpet by the air-conditioner. Didn't like having to argue about getting a breakfast when I arrived early instead of having one the following day since i was checking out before breakfast. A good hotel would not quibble over such a thing.

The entire building is in need of renovations/upgrades. While the sheets were clean, and there weren't bedbugs, the hotel feels dirty not because I can see dirt, specifically, but because the carpet, etc are so old they just need to be replaced. My room heater did have a "clicker" to try to get heat, but it didn't work, but fortunately there was a great extra blanket. (My travel companions didn't even have a clicker to try to use.) Staff were not very helpful or friendly. The gym was pathetic - the treadmill & another machine were in the hall and clearly not usable. All that was available was weight equipment and it was clearly well used. The restaurant (17th floor) staff was either insufficient, or unmotivated - both, it appears, as they did not seem to aim to please. Four of us waited 20+ minutes to order and then the food came out in no particular order, but the last person was served more than 30 minutes after the first person. Requests for items, such as silverware and napkins, were unfulfilled. The dessert bar (lobby level) had one dessert in the case, and some candy for purchase. What was clearly at one time a landmark grand hotel is now a shadow of it's former self.

The room and the hotel are dated. For example, the carpet throughout was dirty and worn, bathtub was so high that a senior would find it extremely difficult to enter, the basin was draining slowly, the AC was switched off, the safe deposit box was not operational, etc. (When I complained, the reception staff noted down but could not help. An honest worker whispered to me to not insist for safe deposit box repair and risk my cash/documents getting trapped!.) On positive side, the hotel is at a great location and is familiar. Many major attractions and great restaurants are withing walking distances. Many tourist buses and public transportation are available right there. Breakfast was not luxurious but was fairly adequate in terms of variety and local flavors. Seniors should be cautious. Otherwise, it is okay, if you have to spend a night or two.

Cette belle d’autrefois demeure un hôtel de qualité à Tashkent. Très bien situé avec un personnel compétent et serviable. Sécuritaire, propre et tranquille, il offre un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Les balcons de la chambre sont utiles et pratiques. Heureux de mon séjour de 4 nuits. Son architecture brutalisme soviétique ajoute à son charme.

Hotel Uzbekistan may need a little TLC to bring it back to its original grandeur, but as it is we have no complains at all. Location is central and easy accessible from TAS airport, the Amir Temur metro station is right downstairs and it was very convenient for getting around the city. We were on the 15th floor and the room was absolutely quiet at night. The 4 roomy elevators worked fine. We had a small balcony and the room itself was larger than your average modern hotel room. The King size bed was a bit firm but comfy and the black out drapes were nice too. There was a sitting area by the entrance of the room with 2 arm chairs, a table and a lamp. Also a desk with a chair, a mini fridge with water bottles provided every day. There was also an electric kettle, cups and tea bags. There was plenty of storage, a big wardrobe and a chest drawer. Housekeeping cleaned the room everyday quickly and we would find it tidied up when we were back mid afternoon. Toiletries and slippers were provided. The buffet breakfast was varied, delicious and plentiful. My vegetarian husband had many options to choose from every morning. The bar had good service and a variety of drinks at fair prices. It was very pleasant to stop by for a cold beer after doing walking tours all day. All in all, we were very happy with our stay at hotel Uzbekistan, the staff was helpful, friendly and polite. Everyone spoke really good English. We would definitely stay there again.

Aamiaisella oli kaoottinen tarjoilu ja teemukit loppu, kahvia ei tarjolla ollenkaan. Wifi ei toiminut hotellihuoneessa (aulassa ja käytävällä kyllä). Huoneessa ilmastointilaite piti kamalaa katkonaista kirskuntaa ja tököttävää meteliä 24 tuntia vuorokaudessa. Henkilökunta ei ollut kartalla varauksestamme ja piti nähdä paljon ylimääräistä vaivaa todistaaksemme varauksemme, vaikka edellisiltana meille oli sanottu kaiken olevan kunnossa. Hotellin sijainti on sentään hyvä ja kyseessä legendaarinen hotelli, jossa voi yöpyä yön. Kahta ei välttämättä kannata.

Chambre glauque avec rideaux transparents!! comment esperez vous dormir qd les rayons du soleil tapent en plein sur votre lit dès 5h30? Je n ai jamais vu ca! A l arrivee personne pour vous aider, on vous regarde galérer avec votre valise. (Je suis une femme seule). Check-in long car tout le monde discute entre eux.
