Expedcted Taranto but Blue Bay in Lama was great

When booking we thought we were going to Taranto but Blue Bay turned out to be quite a long drive outside the town. However, instead of a single room we got to stay in a large 3 bed apartment in an excellent complex overlooking a beautiful bay on a rocky shoreline. We had the place to ourselves for all but one night when one of the other rooms was occupied by a nervous bridegroom on the night before his wedding! We struggled to make contact with the Blue Bay to get directions when driving from Bari on the night of our arrival and in fact only formally checked in as we were leaving. The staff were extremely helpful during our stay and I would happily go to Blue Bay again. However Expedia should make it clearer that the residence is quite a distance outside Taranto.

very nice and big room

I recommend the hotel. very nice service. breakfast very simple but tasty (e.g. cofee or tea, toast, cheese, salami, sweet croissants, corn flakes and milk); Beautiful garden and view from the balcony. there are no hotels around so there is peace and quiet. We slept in the room "PRIMULA". Rooms very large and pleasant. Bunk bed for children. on a scale of 0 to 10 a further 9 points. We came across a very windy period so the wind blew a lot. But I highly recommend the Hotel. The ladies from the reception are very nice and helpful.

The staff were excellent, particularly Antonio who worked in the restuarant but also at the front desk. He was so helpful. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The pool and grounds were lovely and very relaxing. Right outside the front door (which was gated) was the ocean and the view was spectacular. While it was not a sandy beach, it was fun to sit on the rocks and swim. The rooms were individually decorated, very clean, spacious, good beds and pillows and the kitch was modern and nicely furnished. It was very quiet and peaceful.
