What a lovely place to get away. The building had quaint charm and my room was cozy and welcoming. All I needed for a fire was ready to go, bed and bedding was luxurious and comfortable, coffee for the morning with REAL creamer in the fridge. The dining room and common sitting room was inviting and decorated beautifully. My made to order breakfast was healthy and delicious. Biggest treat was the personable staff. True locals that treated me like a new friend.
A warm cozy fire to help me relax at the end of the day! Remember to save some wood for the morning. Restocked daily.

The in was historic and was a very pretty adobe building. However, there are about 20 steps which you have to drag your luggage up to get to the inn, then we were on the 2nd floor, which meant carrying luggage up another flight of stairs - not a fun experience. Breakfast was made to order.

Immediately before staying for 3 nights at La Loma, I had stayed at Monte Sagrado, and the price/quality ratio was vastly superior at La Loma. Aside from all the personal touches (including, for example, a personally tailored breakfast menu every morning), the inn had many surprises of charm that one rarely sees anymore, anywhere. For example, my room had a traditional pueblo-style fireplace (kiva) with firewood and matches that got replenished every morning. I travel a ton throughout the world (for both work and pleasure) and don’t recall ever seeing an actual working fireplace (with real wood) anywhere, so that was fun and different. Further, the architecture and appointments of the inn were phenomenal, and the innkeeper Peggy Davis, is genial, smart, and knowledgeable. All in all a great experience. La Loma will definitely be my go-to whenever I go back to Taos.

Fabulous historic Inn

This historic Inn is a great find. Beautifully curated by its charming hostess. Our room was warm and welcoming with radiant floors and a steam shower. Every detail and need was thoughtfully provided. The gourmet, made to order breakfast was a wonderful treat. The Inn is located a few blocks from the Taos Square in a quiet residential neighborhood with free parking on site. Highly recommend this place to stay for your Taos vacation.
