Staff was top notch; price was reasonable for on mountain lodging. Breakfast was superb, made with charm and care. Staff was extremely friendly and were noticeably proud of their establishment. Took an interest in each guest and his/her experience that day skiing at Taos.
About a mile and half below the ski area. Lovely 19th-Century log cabin forms the original building. All modern, now. Our room was quiet, although the Inn was full: substantial walls between the rooms kept the noise out. View of the stream out back. Very comfortable bed. Hostess couldn't have been nicer.

Not worth the high price!! Find an Airbnb!
Room was hot, fan was squeaky. Loud noise all night. Water was not hot.
Our stay was very disappointing. The room was much smaller than advertised. We ordered 2 beds but they only gave us one. The WiFi was awful, and they didn’t even have cable television. Lastly they call it an inn and restaurant and only serve a mediocre breakfast during a 2 hour time frame in the mornings. Words cannot express how disappointing and frustrating our stay at The Amizette inn was. Very poorly managed lodge.
What a ripoff. We wanted to be near Red River. The description said 8 miles. It is more like 35 miles. The room was run down (torn carpet, terrible mattress, worn linens). The manager was the only staff there and he complained about it the entire time he served a mediocre breakfast.
The inn is run by the owners son and wife. They were a bit short staffed that weekend.(The housekeepers didn't come in) The breakfasts were very good. Patrick was very friendly and accommodating (even though he and his wife were doing the extra work.)The Inn is in a very nice setting, we had room 9 and could listen to the Taos river. The inn has a lot of stairs and steps so it is not for ones that can't negotiate stairs. It is an interesting building, probably built in the early days of the ski area. The one thing I missed was coffee and tea and snacks, most B&B's have them out for the afternoon and evening. Only coffee and tea was available in the morning. One improvement would be to have an inviting place to sit and relax and listen to the river on the deck behind the lodge. All and all had a nice getaway.

Terrific breakfast.
Hotel is very old and rundown. Setting is beautiful. Hotel does not have a restaurant but is operating more like a bed and breakfast. Staff (all one or two of them) are very helpful. Breakfast is terrific.
Quaint mountain setting, perfect for a true get away.

Eclectic good value near TSV
When we checked in, housekeeping hadn't come in that day, but the hotel manager cleaned the room himself. The building is quite old with a lot of history. Room was decent with a fan in the window (no air conditioning), but that was sufficient. Breakfast is included and was fresh cooked and delicious. Dining room is perched above the Rio Chama with a beautiful picture window looking into the woods. Hotel is about a 5 minute drive from the resort. Overall a good value for staying in Taos Zaki Valley.

Relaxing stay close to nature
Our stay was highlighted by great service from Patrick, the owner. We arrived late in the day and we were upgraded to room #9 with a beautiful view of the river and beautiful birch trees. We were visiting Taos to hike Wheeler Peak, and Patrick helped us figure out how to get to the trail head. He also advised us on different restaurants in the area.
Our room was small but very comfortable and clean. When we woke up each morning, the staff cooked a wonderful breakfast to order. If you are looking for a small family owned inn with personalized service, you can't go wrong. We plan to stay here again!
Just a quick stay before our "assault on Wheeler Peak". Arrived around 10:00pm, Patrick seemed to be expecting us. Simple room, comfortable bed, but tres New Mexico public areas, deck overlooking the Hondo "river", a small fast moving snow runoff stream, giving us a nice sound to fall asleep to. Breakfast begins at 7:30, a little late for our preference of wanting to be at the trail head by 7 or so. But homemade pancakes, bacon, oj, coffee, oh so much better than the chain places. Made it to the Peak around 10:30, off by 11:00 to avoid the usual thunderstorms. Nothing fancy about Taos Ski Valley, and we sure hope it stays that way. Its all about the place, no need for polish.
Amazing location amidst the Taos ski valley.. there is a spring right behind the hotel.. hot breakfast made on order...the room was cozy for a night stay.. not the cleaniest of the room though..
The property is cute. Old cabin like, obviously in the mountains and trees right next to a beautiful stream. Breakfast was great, beds are a little old as is the electronics but it just kinda adds to the bed n breakfast in a cabin feel. No one on that road serves dinner no snacks or convenience store is close. So stop and eat or you ll have to drive back to town. That's not bad either it's not far. Had a great stay.
We stayed off season. Inn needs upgraded terribly.
Restaurant only served breakfast & it was made to order. Very good food. No hair dryer in room. Refrigerator did not work. No coffee maker in room. No bed make up or clean linens unless requested. Rooms outdated & in need of routine maintenance. No handicap facilities.

Poor value for the price of rooms
This hotel has a great location near the ski area. The hotel staffperson was extremely helpful and tried to make our stay pleasant. However, there were some pretty big problems. Apparently, they had worked on the boiler earlier in the week, which actually resulted in several rooms having only ice cold water until it was brought to the attention of hotel staff. The hotel offered made-to-order breakfasts as part of the room rate. The first morning was great, the second day the cook didn't show up. So...the hotel staff was left to try to accommodate everyone with a little yogurt (which appeared to be her own), cereal and coffee. The rooms are pricey due to their proximity to the ski resort, but the value for the price is terrible.
