Bathroom with mold, carpet stained, door had large gap at door sweep that critters could come through; had to place towel at bottom of door. Free continental breakfast was a joke, prepackaged buns.
Checked in, got our key, and drove around to our room. Tried to unlock the door, but the key was bad. We drove back around to the front, got another key. (Carrying luggage along the way to the second floor) Got the door opened, but couldn’t find a light that worked. The one light that worked was in the bathroom. Very unclean, unkept, and falling apart. Not a place I will ever stay at again. It’s more than likely I’ll never stay at that brand hotel again.
Carpet is filthy. Chair are filthy with food spilled on them and soiled terrible. Greasy black.
Walls are in need of a good scrubbing and fresh paint.
No bugs. Must be kept sprayed. Ironing board broke.

Economical place for a nights stay
We were flying through from Texas to the Bahamas with two other couples in three small planes and had to stop at the local airport due to weather. The Econo Lodge was an economical place to stay for one evening. Clean but dated. Had an included basic breakfast of cereal, waffles, toast and a few pastries along with coffee and juice. Decent place to hang your hat for the night for the price. Had several different restaurants within walking distance, including an Italian restaurant called Mamas that had a large menu that was great. We’d stay there again under similar circumstances.
Room gross. Had to hook the tv up with myself. I laid towels on the floor to wal on. Alarm clock was unplugged and wound up. Someone’s Hardee’s cup was on the dresser. I’ll pay twice as much and stay at the holiday inn next time. And I am not a neat freak.
Well outside looked a bit run down. Upon going I had to use bathroom. Lights on and bug ran under trash can...killed it looked roach like.
Bed was fairly comfy which saved it. Shower was so bad we skipped taking one.
1 star because it was cheap but not updated and felt really dirty
If I could give negative stars I would. The EconoLodge in Perry FL was the dirtiest, smelliest most unsafe hotel I've ever had the displeasure to stay in. The accommodations were for 4 rooms for 1 night. My family & I were evacuating from Hurricane Irma and rooms were VERY difficult to come by. We were a party of 12 w/4 dogs. If I had not been w/my elderly parents & MIL we would have slept in the cars. The rooms were FILTHY and smelled of urine, heavy smoke and dirt. The "staff" (owners I believe) were obnoxious at best and rude and uncaring at worst. The rooms were listed at $60 on the site, I paid $89 for each. Per order of the Governer during the storm, all FL hotels were to become pet friendly. They charged us $70 for our pets. Then they charged my mom's card for (2) $80 charges? I had made reservations online prior to seeing this hotel for the next two nites which we promptly cancelled (w/in the cancellation time) but they charged me $180 for the rooms anyway. When I asked for a confirmation of the cancellation, I was told "we don't do that" .... What?? And when I showed them the charge coming out of my account (because they charged it the DAY BEFORE the stay was suppose to occur) the owner kept telling me "That's not ME charging you, that's Expedia". Then why did the charge say EconoLodge, NOT Expedia. All in all, the WORST HOTEL. EVER. Sleep in your cars, face a Cat 5 hurricane, sleep on a park bench, but DO NOT STAY AT ECONOLODGE IN PERRY FLORIDA.
Did not even stay in hotel for 20 minutes due to finding bed bugs in both beds. Took a shower and got out, got clothes off bed I laid out when I noticed white bugs all over my clothes. I got different set of clothes.. got dressed and checked out.. This place is horrible. Nothing was clean.. Owner had excuse for everything.

Ok hotel
This is an ok hotel. Kind of outdated - the rooms and carpets could be updated. There is a nice Mexican restaurant across the street. Fine for 1 night.
Polite friendly. Sheets so crumpled it looked like they just made the bed and did not launder them after the last customer. Mild in the tub and on the ceiling of shower. The bottom of tub was slimey feeling I did not shower. It was gross . Breakfast nice but small little room and very hot no air flow

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Requested more towels the following morning and they told us they only had two. Requested toilet paper, because we arrived late and upon entering bathroom only had half a row of toilet paper. They told us they would have to bring the toilet paper to our room, which they did the next morning. Had one roach that stayed with us and there was graffiti on the wall.
I am still waiting for my refund I had to check out on Saturday because I chose not to cut the water on with the screwdriver I had to take the top off the back of the toilet to make it flush I was told by the owner I can take it on leave it so I checked out the hotel I call your office and asked for a refund and they told me I will get a refund back in my account but I have not received that refund yet
The room was musty smelling, but the air helped. An older motel so there are some issues. The hair dryer didn't work. The air could not be regulated very well. Freeze or too hot.
Well it smelled and there was no AC - TV did not work. Had to get a new remote. Person at front desk was RUDE!!!!
I deserve to get my money back. Don't ask for an extra towel....even if the ones in your room are dirty and the towels bars are taped together.
Just AWFUL!!! Sad - it was also 55 miles from graduation not a 25 or 30 minute ride. Someone was a big fat liar!!!

This hotel is much nicer than Days Inn in Perry
After 2 previous negative experiences with Days Inn, I decided to try another hotel. Econolodge was clean and the hotel seemed to be maintained. A few weeks ago I stayed during Spring Break at Days Inn and I was terribly disappointed! The only negative comment I have is that the microwave was broken. Thank you and when needed, I will chose Econolodge.
Clerk argues with me that they cleaned room. All they did was take towels on floor and left none. Then they argued that I had there towels. Not good English spoken by housekeeping
No need to bring any cigarettes because when you walk through the door it was like smoking a pack !!! Cigarette burns on blankets and also had to wait 20 minutes for anybody to show up in the office to check us in!!! I won't be back !!!
Very nice hotel and reasonable price. Good are and restaurants within walking distance. Owner was very nice and helpful. Will stop here when passing through Perry

choose another hotel!
Got up to go potty twice, each time cochroach in bathroom I flushed. Room not as requested handicapped 1st floor. Mrs. Patel changed it. Breakfast- out of coffee 7 a.m., out muffins, waffle maker burning and sticking not sprayed. We left and bought breakfast elsewhere. Not a good experience at all. I Managed 5 hotels before retirement. This was unacceptable.
