Top Tain Hotel Reviews
Tulloch Castle Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This property is beautiful and very clean. I rated the cleanliness 4 stars only because a dirty/used tea cup was accidentally left in our room, but it was clearly a one-of/fluke. We stayed in a spacious twin room for one night. The bathroom and tub were equally spacious. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was equally delicious. We loved staying in such an historically significant property, and we enjoyed the little Davidson museum. It’s August in Scotland and the room was very, very hot, which would be our only complaint. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, though. Thank-you!"
Beaufort Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel stayed here for the weekend of Belladrum in a family room. very friendly and welcoming staff, comfy bed, lovrly bar with good selection of draft beers and IPAs etc. big free car park round the back to park, very walkable to all the sites in Inverness centre thoroughly recommend."
The Royal Highland Hotel
8/10 Good
"Old-World Highland Charm in a Fantastic Location The Royal Highland Hotel is superbly located literally steps from Inverness railway station, making it extremely convenient when travelling with luggage. The moment you enter, the magnificent staircase catches your attention, and the lobby has a cosy, old-world British charm that makes you feel as though you've stepped back in time. Check-in was simple and our third-floor room was spacious and comfortable, with a sitting area, writing desk, TV and kettle with tea, coffee, milk and sugar. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size, with excellent shower pressure and a lovely heated towel rail. There is no refrigerator or apparent air-conditioning, although opening the window kept us comfortable. The old wooden floors also creak considerably. Our only maintenance issue was a slow-draining shower, which I mentioned at checkout. The location is excellent not only for the station but also for exploring Inverness. Restaurants, shops, the River Ness and Inverness Castle area are all within an easy walk. This is an older hotel, and that comes with a few quirks, but its history, character and location make it memorable. We would certainly consider staying again. Rating: 7.5–8/10."
B&B HOTEL Inverness
10/10 Excellent
"What a great hotel! The whole staff team were fantastic- everyone was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is also particularly good for visitors with access needs - we stayed in an accessible room which was huge, the location is close to the train station & the bus station (for the sight seeing bus) as well as lots of restaurants and bars. We'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming up to Inverness."
Mercure Inverness Hotel

"Great place in the center of the old town in Inverness. Highly recommend."
The Royal Hotel Tain
10/10 Excellent
"We are bicycling and they had a secure place to store our bicycle during our stay. The breakfast was excellent. The manager was very helpful. This hotel was in a town that fit with our daily ride schedule."
