We took a nice little swim in the lake which was the perfect temperature. The gentleman who owns this place is friendly and professional, i felt welcome and at ease while interacting with him. I met a dog and a cat. The cat was perfect in every way- mysterious yet friendly, unafraid and unconcerned....

"I felt so at home at the Florence lighthouse inn. I felt safe at all times the area is great. The bed was so comfortable and sheets crispy clean as though they dried them on a clothes line in the sun. And the breakfast is awesome and healthy.The staff really were the nicest people. I came in one evening and people were sitting and quietly talking and listening to each others stories and as well as the hotel owner. And topping it all off Florence lighthouse inn is across the street from Dairy Queen. Indulging in vanilla with hot fudge in a cup was a must. I would stay here every time I come this way, and I might even come to Florence just to stay here at Florence Lighthouse Inn.

"This hotel stay was excellent from beginning to end. We did not use the pool. The room was comfortable and very clean. We had a wonderful stay of one night but I would return to this hotel. The staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was like a feast with many hot and cold choices."

The dog was a VERY good dog who accompanied us to the lake and hung out on the shore and guarded our shoes. This dog demonstrated extraordinary restraint by not stealing our shoes EVEN THOUGH both my partner and i threw our shoes onto the shore. Any dog would be extraordinarily tempted to play fetch with those shoes and yet this dog did not. Extraordinary. Also, the view from our room was magnificent. If you are fortunate enough to be looking for a lake view retreat, you should probably stay here. I will definitely be coming back and I will be staying for much longer."
"It’s a simple hotel. Perfect for a place to sleep when traveling and near restaurants and gas stations. It has its only parking lot. The hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable"
"Linda was very nice and accommodating. The “leave the key” box was unsecured so I was concerned for the safety and security of the key left at 6:30 am. I called the phone number on the office door. No answer and no voicemail capability. However, I did receive a call back, missed it. Didn’t receive a voicemail. So I called back to share my concern about the key box. Was told by the female who answered ,”it’s alright” so we didn’t worry about it.
It’s a dated structure with a small shower compartment so we decided to skip the shower. There was a pink sink in the bathroom confirming the dated structure.
Overall, it was available, no sketchy looking characters, relatively clean and felt safe."
