Hotels near T-Street Beach

"The view was amazing. The hotel was clean. The room was lovely. It was difficult getting up a bunch of stairs with luggage, the staff was stub par acted like we were a bother… We were told early check-in and then ended up being late. We're supposed to get in at three and it was nearly 4 before we were checked in. The maids were laid and getting the room ready not their fault. I don't think. We had to wait in the car for an hour. But the biggest disappointment was after a long day at the beach we brought dinner home to sit in bed and watch TV and the TV did not work! I called the front desk at 4:30. The gal told me that maintenance had already gone home for the evening that she would stop by after three more of her check-in, which could've been till 8 PM. She never showed up! We got up and left very early. Very very disappointing."

"The name “Hotel Avenida” is a scam. This is actually a Rodeway inn renamed as a hotel. The front attendant told me that the owner changed the name from Rodeway inn to Hotel Avenida because it would be”better for business”. I don’t even know if that legal but might as well book a motel 6 if you’re looking to book a cheap motel. The rooms weren’t new either the pictures are deceiving. The first room we were given on the first floor looked nothing like the pictures so I complained and was a given a room that looked like a run down version of the pictures shown on the site. Overall do not recommend."

"The staff is absolutely incapable of understanding hospitality. They over sell their parking spaces and when you cannot find one they tell you there is nothing that they can do about it. Daytime staff is much more competent than the nighttime."

"This is a quaint, older Motel that totally has a beachy, friendly vibe. I stay here any time I want a little staycation in San Clemente. It is walking distance to EVERYTHING, and being right next door to the fabulous Bagel Shack is an added perk! I park my car in the motel lot and don't get in it again until I have to go home! The rooms have ample room and having a fridge and microwave adds convenience. OH, and they have the SOFTEST towels ever! Maybe wouldn't recommend for families, but for a single or couple, there is everything you need along with the nicest people running the place!"
