Oasis of calm in Siracusa

The Hotel Ciclamina was located in a v good place to explore Siracusa and Ortigia. It was also opposite a park and close to shops and a good supermarket. It was a delight to be collected from the station and brought to the hotel and similarly to be returned to the station at the end of the stay. The owner was extremely friendly, which made for a great start to the stay and he was happy to be contacted with any queries at any time. The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. Wi fi connection was very good. Access was secure. I managed to leave some clothes in the wardrobe when I left (!). The owner contacted me to let me know and even checked out prices to send them back to the UK. I felt well looked after and would certainly recommend the hotel. (Despite the unseasonal rain and Etna Eruption!!)

lekker bed, rustige wijk, alhoewel b&b was er geen ontbijt beschikbaar, het was mogelijk dat de eigenaar dit voor ons ging halen, maar een paar straten verder zat een prima koffietentje waar we gingen ontbijten. De douchecabine zag er mooi uit, er kwam echter een klein waterstraaltje uit, en het water liep naar enige tijd pas weg maar dit is Sicilië en geen Nederland. De eigenaar Mr Li was erg aardig, het verdere schoonmaakpersoneel was niet erg vriendelijk. Toen we aankwamen moesten we zoeken naar de ingang, een behulpzame dame wees ons de weg. Qua afstand naar centrum en bezienswaardigheden prima gelegen. Wij hadden een auto gehuurd dus trokken er lekker op uit, dit is wel noodzakelijk anders kom je mijn inziens niet ver. We hebben een fijne vakantie gehad.

Siamo per niente contenti siamo molto arrabbiati camera sporca, piccola bagnio sporco e poi chiedono troppo suplemente anche le lenzuole si pagano aparte tutto questo non lo dicono al momento di prenotazione ma quando sei li. abbiamo pagato tutto con carta di credito quando oh fatto la prenotazione arrivati li era tutto diverso il fatto chiedevano il doppio di quelo che avevo cia pagato. Soggiorno di relax, totalmente positivo

Questo B&B è davvero carino, camere pulite e molto essenziali, insomma senza grandi fronzoli. Il proprietario Luigi è un ragazzo davvero cortese e disponile. È talmente gentile che mi ha chiesto un mio parere in merito alla struttura, proprio perché vuole migliorarsi giorno per giorno e questa cosa è lodevole. Mi ha anche specificato che bastava comunicare per la pulizia per la stanza e mi avrebbe fatto la pulizia quotidiana, che cmq in un B&B è una cosa extra, in quanto la normativa prevede che il cambio lenzuola e la pulizia deve essere fatto ogni 2 o 3 notti, quindi questa accortezza è davvero lodevole. Insomma, se si ha voglia di soggiornare senza avere grosse pretese, questo beb è ottimo, in una zona tranquilla e centrale ( si raggiunge Ortigia in 15 min a piedi), ribadisco il concetto che la camera era ben pulita e sistemata.

Comfortable hotel

Comfortable, renovated hotel, near the old town and the main road, only problem was the smell of tobacco in the room but this improved with leaving the window open when I was out.

Very nice and helpful staff. Comfortable place, spacious room and bathroom. Clean. There is no breakfast service, receptionist buys some food for your request. I can highley recommend this place.

Kinesisk imødekommenhed og design

Vi blev mødt af en meget venlig receptionist, og vi følte os meget velkomne. Sengen var fantastisk, men værelset meget lille. Stedet minder lidt om et hotel, med værelser på en lang gang, og vi savnede et køkken beregnet til gæsterne (vi fik lov at låne stedets køkken, men det føltes lidt for privat...). Badeværeslet er lille, men fungerer fint, og klimaanlægget fungerede også fint. Hvis man er til alle mulige bling bling lyde når man låser op, ændrer på klimaanlægget osv, så er stedet også velegnet til det :-). Stedet ligger midt imellem de arkæologiske udgravninger med det græske teater og stenbruddet, katakomber og lignende, og Ortigia øen (det er her det sker) - ca.25 minutters gang til hvert sted, så det er fint Morgenmaden indtages på en nærliggende café, hvilket fungerede fint, men vi savner lidt buffeten som på de andre steder vi har besøgt...

Foi o cafe da manha mais fraco e pobre que tive em minha viagem pela Italia... era apenas um capuccino e um croissant e nada mais... servido fora do hotel... o estacionamento gratis é na rua... Como ponto fortemente positivo, tem o atendimento feito pelo Lin... sempre muito atencioso, cordial e se esforçando para atender bem.
