"This is not our first time staying with W Sydney, but compared to our previous experiences, this visit has been very underwhelming. We explicitly noted in our booking that we would be traveling with our daughter.
Upon arrival, however, we were informed that while our package includes breakfast for two adults, we will be charged an additional $35 for our child’s breakfast. The explanation provided—that complimentary breakfast for children is only available for bookings made via their official website—is very frustrating, especially as our family details were disclosed at the time of booking without any prior notification of this restriction.
Furthermore, we are disappointed with the standard of cleanliness in our room. The area around the bedside corner is dirty.
The toilet roll holder is visibly covered in a thick layer of dust; it has clearly not been wiped down. Most concerningly, when we attempted to use the bathtub, we saw debris and dirt floating in the water.
We last stayed at this hotel over a year ago. Despite upgrading the room this time, it was smaller, though it did face Darling Harbour. The facilities feel more worn now, and nothing seems as new as before.
We chose to return to this hotel for a comfortable family experience, but these hygiene issues and the rigid breakfast policy have made our stay less than satisfactory.
I also submitted a complaint to them on the day we left the hotel, but it’s been five days and I haven’t received any response yet."
