Things in town closed early during shoulder season so we did like that the hotel had a place to hang out at night. I suggest requesting a room with a view of these mountains as opposed to the other side that looks towards Mount First. That side isn't bad, but the view towards Eiger and Monch is fantastic. The mountains feel close enough to touch. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk to the main train station, but there are also buses...
