Review

A lovely spot with beautiful desert views. We stayed in self catering chalet with attractive interior and great beds with good quality linen and pillows. The dinner , specially prepared for us, was excellent. A few glitches: dish towel and bath towels not so clean, backdoor to braai area could not open....lost key, no kettle and insufficient kitchen and braai utensils. Quoted in the price was a private balcony. On arrival we found it to be untrue. When we asked about this, we were told that such a balcony is only part of the hotel rooms. Later we saw chalets with private balcony braais . We were a bit disappointed .

Quiet, good nights sleep, far from town,m

The lodge owners were great folks. If you want a peaceful place far from town, this is your place. The comfortable beds and the high quality linens made for a great sleep. However, we did feel a bit deceived. The nice pics online are actually the managers house and you don’t have access to that part. The rooms are very standard, there is no view of the dunes from this desert oasis.

Die Chalets sind schön eingerichtet und beinhalten alles, was man braucht. Die gesamte Anlage mit Pool und dem Haupthaus ist sehr gemütlich und die Sonnenterasse lädt zu einem Sundowner ein. Top!

Het guesthouse ligt iets landinwaarts een kilometer of 10 van Swakopmund. De omgeving is kaal en het uitzicht is niet fraai. De hele complex wordt goed onderhouden en de lodges zijn goed. We verbleven er drie nachten en moesten na de tweede nacht we om schone handdoeken vragen die uiteraard wel geleverd werden maar we vonden dit wel raar. Het ontbijt was karig en er was weinig of geen beleg, Al met al en in vergelijking met onze andere locaties was dit een gemiddelde ervaring met ruimte voor verbetering.

Ein toller Platz zum verweilen. Wir haben dort tolle Tage verbracht und das Ambiente insbesondere die vielen Ecken zum verweilen genossen. Die Sonnenuntergänge auf der stilvollen Dachterrasse waren unbeschreiblich. Die Chalets waren sehr großzügig und urgemütlich. Das Guest House liegt zwar außerhalb, aber wir haben keine Minute bereut.

Nice, pet-friendly chalets, but water heater issue

Nice guest house about a 15-minute drive from Swakopmund. We chose it primarily because it was pet-friendly...and it was. Our dog could even accompany us to breakfast. Pets are only allowed in the self-catering chalets, however, not in the rooms in the main house. The chalets were comfortable accommodations, with one exception. Hot water is supplied by an LPG water heater, and ours wasn’t working properly. I brought this problem to the staff’s attention a couple of times. They tried to fix it, and thought they had, but it would only work temporarily. Cold showers weren’t ideal.

schwer zu finden, das Guest House war der Touristeninformation in Swakopmund nicht bekannt, das offensichtlich neue Personal war sehr bemüht

tolle urwüchsige Lodge sehr zu empfehlen !!

Etosha, Kalhari, Swakop...und dann die Gecco Ridge...!! sehr schönbes Ambiente, nichts ist over down...alles ist wie slebstverständlich an die Natur angepasst, sehr gute self Catering Bungalows mit gemauerten Kamin..gemütlich..und die KUnst liegt im weglassen..wenn man die straubige Strasse zur Gecco hinter sich hat ist es atemberaubend schön...einen extra Sundowner Place auf dem DAch der Lodge eingerichtet...er wartet auf eine Bloody Marie oder Namgin Tonic..man schläft gut, der Pool ist Stylisch und fühlt sich beim deutschen Inhaber " Sauwohl "..er gibt auch gute Tips als Insider...!!

Eine Oase am Rande der Wüste.

Man ahnt nicht, wenn mann durch den Vorort von Swakopmund fährt, dass sich hier eine Oase verbirgt. Wir hatten ein Chalet mit kleinem Garten. Hier hat man die Möglichkeit zu grillen oder draußen zu sitzen.

Good value self-catering accommodation.

Stayed in one of the two self-contained cottages, our second visit as we liked it so much last time. The accommodation is spacious, clean and well-equipped and the staff and owner are friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the contact with the resident peacocks. And it is just a short drive into Swakopmund so the location is excellent.

Bungalow elegante e spazioso, ben arredato e molto confortevole. Gentilisima l'accoglienza e buona colazione. Un buon B&B. Quando si arriva è difficile farsi aprire il cancello esterno. Ho risolto suonando a lungo il clacson. Il vero neo è la distanza dalla città, circa 15 km, di buona strada.

Leider nur für eine Nacht in Swakopmund haben wir leider fast zwei Stunden mit der Suche nach dem Hotel vergeudet. 18 KM außerhalb war sie selbst den meisten Einheimischen nicht bekannt. Hinzu kam, dass im Zuge von Straßenbauarbeiten die Wegweiser demontiert waren. Leider, denn das Guesthouse selbst ist wunderschön. Sowohl die Self-Catering-Chalets als auch die Gästezimmer im Haus sind edel und geschmackvoll.

Tolles Guesthouse mit super Service

Wir hatten das Zimmer direkt am Pool. Das Bett war riesig und auch sonst sehr ansprechend eingerichtet. Auf Nachfrage ob man uns ein Abendessen zubereiten würde, hat man sofort lecker Steaks gemacht. Dieses Guesthouse mit seinen freundlichen Menschen und Tieren werden wir bestimmt beim nächsten mal wieder buchen!

Charming hotel - beautiful deco and atmosphere

Very nice hotel, trendy, relaxing ambiance, charming. Beautiful pool as well. Breakfast was ok, but the dinner was absolutely delicious. Nice location for those who want to be out of the touristic city.
