"Clean and great stop over hotel"

"The hotel was perfectly sited for exploring Arras, and parking was good. Our room was a little dated but functional. The disappointment was the food, not what we expected from a 4* hotel calling itself gourmet. I had the fixed-price menu. The meat was good, but the same salad appeared on both courses, rather than other vegetables. From the a la carte, the starter scallops were fine themselves, but floating in an unidentifiable watery liquid. The veal course - the veal had obviously been cooked much earlier, then sliced up and reheated. Altogether a disappointing meal, not worth the money. Fortunately the wine was good!"

"Really friendly staff who contacted me before hand to check on arrival times. They spoke very good English. Clean room with comfortable bed, nice hot shower with good water pressure, and tea/coffee facilities. Right next to the centre of town but with its own parking was very useful. Many thanks"

"We arrived at 1.50pm. The hotel seemed empty but we were told we could not check in until 2pm. We went and sat in our car until 2pm after no early check in was offered. The man on reception, he felt like he was our boss and offered a poor service. The room was warm and the bed not comfortable. We had a drink at the bar and the same member of staff served us but it appeared as if it was an inconvience to serve us. No one else was around, it was not as if he was busy dealing with other people. Not a pleasant stay"

"The TV and internet in the room did not work and could not be fixed during our stay despite asking twice. Apparently no engineer on site but why put us in this room when most rooms were empty? The evening meal in the Restuarant - my wife’s Cote de Beouf steak was not eatable . We informed the waiter who apologised several times but never offered to replace it. You still charged us in full for it. Real shame as otherwise nice venue that we may have considered using regularly when travelling back from alps to UK, I asked twice at reception for these problems to be considered and no one was available to consider a partial refund or even a gesture of goodwill. Still not heard from hotel more than 24 hours after check out. Very disappointing , still waiting on a formal response to my legitimate service complaint ."

"Friendly staff. Nice breakfast and evening meal. Very convenient location to drive to The Somme sights and easy to walk into the centre of Albert for the museum and restaurants. "
