Budget Hotels in Surat, Gujarat

"In catering to and expecting international travelers, I would expect a hotel to have electric points adaptable for US plugs. Only certain rooms have it, many others don't. The sizes of the rooms are very small, a queen deluxe room barely has space for 2 persons to keep their bags and squeeze around. There was leakage in many parts of the hotel, including rooms. An ironing board provided by the hotel had a cover sheet which bled color. On using a steam iron for a white shirt, it had severe color stains on the shirt, which happened just a few hours before I was to attend a funeral wearing that white shirt. Lights in the washroom especially the one around the mirror were constantly flashing thereby rendering them unusable. I have pictures of all of the above, but unfortunately I don't see any space on Expedia reviews to upload them. Several guests in rooms on our floor kept the doors open with a lot of loud talking, laughing etc which was disturbing and annoying and no action was taken by the hotel management to curtail such behavior. Would consider twice before booking at Ginger Surat again. "
