The customer service was amazing, quick and easy check-in with one minor hiccup. I brought my 2 pups with me, and was told there was a “pet room”, which was perfectly fine. We got our room key and upon opening the door, the room looked nothing like the pictures. Not a big deal, but after settling in, we got a call from the front desk that they placed us in the wrong room. The room we were originally put in was actually for the handicapped. It didn’t really bother us, so, we packed our stuff up and went to the lobby to receive a new room number and key. Unfortunately, it was horrible. When we opened the door it reeked of cat pee. I’m not one to complain, but it was beyond noticeable. The cleanliness of the space isn’t appropriate for the price. I had to give a $75 pet fee on top of the $100 deposit after paying $109 online. I’m actually disappointed because we’ve stayed here before and it wasn’t nearly as bad. I decided to make a call to the front desk to clarify that I wouldn’t be charged for the conditions I was put in to begin with and she assured me that she’d make a note of it in the system. Like I mention, the service 10/10, but the overall experience was upsetting.

Tv didn’t work. Hot water in lobby wasn’t hot. The front desk lady forgot to check my credit card when I checked in so they had to do it when I checked out. Opened the toilet lid and the toilet had a towel in it…very cold in the room. The air in the parking lot is foul, a mix of farm smells and toxic pollution, the front desk lady says “it’s just the town smell”. The bed was comfortable at least. And the front desk lady did refill the hot water when I told her it wasn’t hot.

Wasn’t really the best stay. I had booked a king size bed but we were given two queens. When I addressed it with the desk staff, I was told Hotels.com was at fault for they cancelled and then rebooked our room. We were not accommodated with what I booked. Staff seemed a bit chaotic, with one’s kids hanging out in the lobby. The entire front Porte-cochere was torn apart and appeared it could fall on someone. Very outdated which made cleanliness off.

This is a basic room; it shows some signs of wear but is kept up in a reasonably nice manner. The towels are thin and there are no real amenities but it was a functional, quiet place to sleep for the night.

I checked in on Saturday, Oct. 4th and confirmed with the clerk on duty, that I could leave my case of peaches and case of pears behind the desk until after the car show the next day. She said she would also be on shift the next day from 7-3. When I left at 730 am Sunday morning, I did not see the same clerk but I informed the clerk on duty that the fruit in the next room was mine and I would be back to pick it up after 4pm. She said Ok. When I returned, HALF of the peaches and HALF of the pears were stolen from the cases. The clerk on duty said she would let the manager know that I expected a call to see how we could resolve this. As I was leaving, the man working on the roof said he saw someone leaving with a bag of fruit and that he knew the owner and would inform him. Well, 3 days later, I'm still waiting to hear from ANYONE at the hotel to acknowlege this theft. I would NOT recommend staying here as it appears they are ok hiring thieves.

We very much enjoyed our stay, excellent location, easy access to everything, safe and quiet. Large room, and nicely equipped. Staff was always attentive and helpful and friendly. Grounds were nice and well kept, and I loved walking the beach at low tide and exploring for shells. Breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant for lunch and dinner was delicious. We will be back!

This is a typical right off the freeway hotel, you can expect clean rooms, great staff who are polite and will chat with you if you do. If you treat them nice they are nice back. You may have to walk all the way to the end of the hall for the stairs but I can guarantee the exercise will be good for you. Didn’t try the breakfast because I wanted to try local places instead. Check out Bon Vinos if you want to do the same! Also we liked that this place was dog friendly without charging extra for it.
