Hotels near Sundown Beach

"Absolutely perfect location for karneval. Close to everything you need to have a good time. Great restaurants and bars nearby, transit is 30 seconds outside the hotel, can't ask for a better spot. And the rooms are HUGE for Europe. Our one issue was the room was extremely dusty and the pillows were basically non existent, but small price to pay for the location. "

"The room was lovely and clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The hotel was in a good location for public transport - we easily got a metro into central Koln. We didn’t pay for breakfast as we felt it was expensive but there was a great cafe a short walk away. "The staff is exceptionally helpful, especially Medi at the front desk. The rooms are clean and free from outside noise. The curtains work perfectly to black out the room at night. The hotel is a good value, even if one is not coming for the automotive scenery, which is also very nice. The three restaurants have something for everyone with good service. Breakfast is a successful combination of German as well as general Western offerings that international customers are accustomed to. "

"Room wasn't vaccumed when we arrived, had hard time to get someone to clean the floor. Area wise it felt deserted. Probably ok for a single night business trip "

"Overall, the hotel was good and I had a pleasant stay. I did not receive any VIP benefits such as a room upgrade or similar perks. As an Expedia Gold Member, I was expecting at least one VIP offer from the hotel, but no benefits were provided at all. The only thing I received was early check-in Additionally, the hotel did not provide slippers in the room. For a hotel of this quality, I consider this a significant downside, as even basic amenities like slippers are expected."

"Overall solid hotel. Great value and my room was small but enough for what I needed on this trip. Comfy, and clean room. Offers a breakfast but did not get a chance to do. Biggest drawback is if you are using this say as a cheap option to stay outside of Köln or Leverkusen it will take minimum 30 to get into the city, even with taxi. However if you are like me, patient and willing to use public transport very easy and around 40 min on average to get to the center! Staff was helpful in accomodating me with a late checkin but do call, was not as responsive to email. One small complaint the halls lighting was dark at all times it felt, could have been concidence since i was returning late each evening, but was literally hard to find room because of it as well as just an eerie feel. Also not complaint but heads up I don't believe I saw an elevator, no problem but just be aware."
