Sandman Hotel Penticton

8/10 Good
"They had some great amenities - swimming pool, hot tub, exercise room and lots of seating. My only complaint was the staff smoking right outside the entrance to the hotel. I am allergic to cigarette smoke so that put me off."

Summerland Motel

Summerland Motel

8/10 Good
"Although the motel is next to a very busy noisy highway, it was pretty quiet when the room door was closed. There is a wonderful coffee and breakfast spot nearby called Crick at a local cidery. We walked there (10 min) and the food and coffee were very good."

When is the best time for a budget trip to Summerland?
Weather is probably a major factor when you plan your trip to Summerland, and keep in mind that cheaper options are usually available when the weather isn't as good. The hottest months are usually July and August with an average temp of 64°F, while the coldest months are December and February with an average of 27°F. The snowiest months in Summerland are January, February, October, and March, with each month seeing an average of 5 inches of snowfall.
What is there to see and do in Summerland?

You can budget for the top local attractions on your list, and then make time for activities that cost very little. If you're looking to enjoy the area's natural beauty, you can get outdoors at Crescent Beach, Okanagan Lake, or Peach Orchard Beach.
How can I get to Summerland and get around on a budget?
