"Attitude was a real deal breaker for us. After arriving to our room we discovered the lights were out for 3/4 of the room - particularly troublesome for the bathroom. Went to front desk and waited about 20 min for someone to come and check out what we assumed to be a fuse issue. Another 20 min and problem is not resolved. Go to the desk to get an update and Miss Attitude is very sassy despite the patience and respect we afforded her. We had been on the beach all day and wanted to shower and head out for an anniversary dinner. Suggested maybe we could relocate to a new room… She was resistant to the idea and we went back to the room to wait longer. Meanwhile I had dropped ice on the floor and used a washcloth to clean it up and the floor was filthy! Imagine if I had lights to actually see… 15 min pass and a much nicer staff member came & gave us the code to a new room. The new room was newly renovated and a much better, cleaner accommodation. Wondering if bc we booked thru Expedia we were given a tired, old room bc the resort was very quiet and you would think they’d want to impress guests by assigning the newer rooms. Unfortunately the lack of professionalism by the front desk and the filthy floor in the first unit will deter us from visiting this resort in the future. Plenty of nearby choices"

"The hotel lobby was cute and inviting. The rooms were adequate with very nice lotions, shampoos and body gels. We were surprised that the rooms weren't cleaned on the first day because there was no note letting guests know that. No garbage basket in the bathroom which was strange.Breakfast was typical; well stocked, nothing special. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all a comfortable stay."

"in our room , every detail is top of the range and the restaurants and common areas are super. the front desk staff, especially Tania the head of staff, were extremely helpful in dealing with a particular matter we needed resolved . way beyond the normal assistance xx"

"Room wasn’t ready until 6:00pm with a check-in at 4:00pm.. Staff double charged my credit card and I caught it after the credit card company called me for fraudulent charges. They lost our order at the hotel restaurant and we finally got our food after 2 hours. It was literally the vacation from HELL and it was my wife’s Birthday!! It was $1200 wasted for sure!!"
Harborside at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina

"The amenities at the property are amazing, multiple pools, beach area, ocean front with great places for relaxing, walkable pier and Mariana with Harbor, Bridge, and Charleston views that are so beautiful they seem unreal. On the downside, this is more of an upscale property that needs TLC, cob webs in the ceiling fan over the bed, towels look dingy, walls, doors and trim need to be repainted and everything needs to be refreshed (room 440). Also seeing 3 portable restrooms and tents with junk sitting in the beach area distorted the view a bit from our room. Additionally, the food from the Reef Bar was inconsistent. On 5/24/26 the grouper sandwich was cooked perfectly. On the evening of 5/25/26, the fish was burnt and the chicken on the Cobb salad was too tough to eat. However, I would still stay here again because of the relaxing and majestic views. Also the Harbor side was quiet and relaxing, we did not hear any noise."
