"The lodge is conveniently located less than 10 mins outside of downtown Helen. It’s positioned on a secluded hillside just off the main 2 lane road. The building and decor does feel a bit outdated but adds to the charm. We stayed in the “Family Suite” which was a split level room. It was great having a separate sleeping area from the kids. I’m 6’4 and had to really bend over to get up the stairs in our suite but wasn’t a huge deal for a few days. We were a bit disappointed they didn’t offer food onsite, but they did have a wine starting you could do for an additional cost. We were the only family there our first night, so that was a bit creepy. The main front door they don’t allow you to lock at night and there was no staff onsite after 5pm. That made me very uneasy as well but we survived. We’s stay again, but check out one of the 3 separate cabins next time."

"The pool was not open, and did not look like it has been open for years. Breakfast was lame. Cereal, Danish, muffin, fruit cup and coffee. Location is great for hikers. Fun little town."

"Older, nice, clean hotel that seems to have been renovated. Sits on a steep hill overlooking the Georgia mountains. Be aware the drive from the main road to the hotel is a short steep grade. The pool is completely out of service. Looks like they are tearing it out or renovating it. The staff is very helpful and friendly."
